  2. Never Missed 'em, great venue.
  3. Was it VALENTINO'S Bucket ????
  4. Archive press reports for The Birmingham Evening Mail state that 95% of people arrested at a raid on a famous all-night brothel cafe were from Northants and Harboro------- I think Kevin might have based the list on collectors & record shops as well as venues ! He always mentions the famous "Syd Booth's" from Mansfield.
  5. Andy Stewart , 8 weeks on the chart, number 4 high position dec 89 on Sloane records Nice
  6. Hi Mark on bloody nights again Now the old memory is failing me but was it "Limited Editions" (Limmos) its on Clumber Street opp. where the New Wilkinsons has been built. There was that other place on Westgate "Digby's" ??? kev did the Tuesday "Grab a Granny" Night and "Where's me trou-sers" was his biggest party record----no I'm not making it up !!! rob
  7. A young Borrat ? Seriously Kev did make "Donald where's your trousers" a massive hit the second time around, he was resident DJ at a club in Mansfield on Tuesday Nights--Honest.
  8. the plot thickens !
  9. So we are still none the wiser, my hearing ain't what it used to be--(they said the disco's would make me deaf) ---but it does sound like 2 women to me. Also is Gerri Granger Black then ? she sounds like she could be white ?? any pics ?
  10. Strange thread, never seen any of those flyers myself, but you pay your money and you make your choice. A little bit of what you fancy does you good and if you don't like a venue or its music policy then you don't have to go. there are plenty of places to pick from at the moment and you can usually tell by the DJ line up what to expect. Its a social scene go out and enjoy it !
  11. what about this one--just had an old tape from Wigan days on i found whilst clearing the office out. Gerri Granger "I go to pieces" and Carol & Gerri "how can i ever find a way" follow each other. vocal sounds nearly the same is it the same Gerri ? Anyone know ? i bet someone has some black and white footage somewhere !
  12. Such bad news this one. I can confirm that STANLEY MITCHELL WAS SIGNED FOR PRESTATYN 2007. He had returned his contract to appear 3 weeks ago after a lot of hard work behind the scenes by Dave Welding. he was going to be our "Surprise" artist and sing "get it baby" & "Quit twisting my arm" We seem to be saying week in week out about artist passing away without getting to appear here as we keep saying you have to see them before its too late. Our thoughts are with Stanleys family at this sad time Rob & karen Wigley on behalf of the Prestatyn Team
  13. BRIAN DONKIN from Poole, I think Eddie was it £600 ???? cica 1979 thiink i was on £60 a week !!!

Our thoughts are with family ,girlfriend and the close circle of friends who were there for him during his illness. RIP Nige Rob & Karen Wigley , John & Angie Poole , Mark Fletcher & Karen.
