Slightly embarrassed at being the subject of my own thread !!
Thank you very much for all kind words, phone calls, e-mails, PMs,Texts. The phone has not stopped ringing since Friday. (we have 5 lines)
Myself & Karen are very touched by the true and genuine support of our many friends on the Scene.

When we are sorted I will start a thread about these problems, tried to get shut of them and they wanted £30 to bloody "disconnect" us, at present in "limbo land" to quote their rep
i presume "limbo Land" is half way between Worksop and India, where most of my calls have been handled !
ARGHHHHHHHHHH

Just been quoted $70 to post a $60 record to UK !!!
$130 total !!!
so a £30 record has jumped to a £65 one !!
Errr no thanks mate, i'll pass on that !!
come on Pete Johnny S worth at least £30 in my book
Just posted some stuff back to myself from the USA
200 records in one box weight = 16 Lbs cost $ 75.65 US
190 records in another box = 14 Lbs cost $69.35
arrived here 10days after I posted them
so $70 US seems to be taking the Piss !!

Just bumping this up for the daytime users.
Thanks Martin
we are back on in a very limited way, STEAM POWER whilst Orange try and get their S##T service off our line.
Please do not send any large files to our e-mail address which is now on a temp Dial-up system its taken us 3 hours to down load what has been there for 5 weeks !!!
We can get personal messages now via Soul-source again.
We shall also be getting a new e-mail address as soon as I can get a new Broadband server
Anyone else had trouble with the Orange trying to upgrade their broadband system ??
Nice to be back on

Billy Woods, Let Me Make You Happy,One fanastic tune.
A dozen copies or so were found in 1974 with a promo unearthed 1981.
I think it was last record on this label?
Kev
So wipe those tears, from your eyes.
I think there are more copies of this around ,but no one parts with it, yes last reord before the label went Bang. there are copies in Japan.

I wish Martin!!! got mine off Ted Massey, but at my 40th bash there was a Billy Woods re-union were 4 original copies in the Room !!
The copy Arthur Fenn had was found by Dave Raistrick and was stone mint, came off the label owner or producer at Sussex for $3, but he did have to buy all the other releases as well , not sure wether Arthur still has it or not.
Problem is they wear out ! due to being Styreen
John A told me the copies he had came from a rep, he had 250 in a flat, but his rent was due . when john went back the bloke had been evicted along with the remaining 240 Billy Woods !!!
Was my all-time crack up record and took me years to get it.
When I saw Ted the other week he always asks after the record............

Important news regarding Prestatyn weekender next year
The date for the Spring weekender has been changed by Pontins due to Merseyside school holidays half term arrangements .
THE DATE IS NOW Fri 29th Feb to Mon 3rd of March 2008 which is Two weeks earlier than we advertised at the 2007 weekender.
Everyone who has pre-booked this event will be receiving a letter directly from Pontins (thats a lot of postage for 2,500 people) Thursday nights date is 28th Feb.
We had this confirmed by e-mail last night, please let anyone know who is already making travel arrangements from abroad etc to attend the weekender.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause at this early stage.
However the Midnight hour team can give you a taster and confirm that our first artist booked
are THE PRECISIONS returning with the missing Michael this time , out of all our acts they are the ones everyone keeps asking for !!!!
See You There

Well he might be having a laugh Pete, but it's already got 2 Bidders on it.
God knows how many people are watching it, probably hundreds worldwide, and with nearly 9 days left... by the time the hammer comes down it'll probably make a fortune!
Didn't you once bid on a photo of Mrs benson on E-Bay Sean ?????

Stay off the bags and concentrate on the sounds ! You've a lifetime of stuff in front of you.Great way to get into it though.
Roxy Rob sells all sorts of retro clothing via the shop in Notts-right at the top end of Mansfield Road, they have also come to a couple of Prestatyns selling stuff.
Most of all enjoy it as most of us on here are still doing after 30 odd years at it !!

Keep bailing Sean and get as much out as you can--remember our cellar in Rotherham ? came up through the floor I manage to get most stuff out, but the trouble is it starts going "Fusty" a couple of months after. All the insurers do is pump it out and put de-humifiers down there till the next time. Good luck .but more bad weather on its way for the weekend, take care

Very Sad News Lesley Singleton Rotherham Rip
in All About the SOUL
Words can not express the sadness we feel when we got this terrible news last night in Dublin.
Karen is totally devastated and heartbroken, Lesley was her best friend, with her acts of kindness friendships like this only come once in a lifetime.
She is Godmother to our son Connor and was a constant source of help and inspiration when we lived in Rotherham.
She was always the smiling face and would help anyone.
This puts all recent events into prospective. We are waiting to find out more details of this tragic death, but at the moment it sounds like a heart attack. God bless you.
Will post again later
Karen & Rob
RIP
