  3. I was fortunate to meet Sharon in Dublin, along with the Dap-Kings, spent a happy two hours in their company, then saw them live at a small venue in the City. She and they were ELECTRIC ! So sad that she never really got the full acclaim she deserved, however she never forgot her roots and her loyal army of fans World Wide. RIP Sharon gone far too soon Rob
  4. One in Lincolnshire too
  5. There's not a week goes by without some "Common" record hitting dizzy heights these days..... makes you wonder how much the "Proper" rarities are worth !!!
  6. Now Souler, this really depends on what sort of dog you had and how much impact the chewing had making the item rarer. you don't state whether the record was on Wand or Strata. A ball park figure for this rare example, assuming your dog was a pedigree breed, has to be in the upper 3 figures, if there is lots of saliva could be reaching the 4 figure mark. However if your dog was of dubious parentage I would say the records is worthless, although most price guidelines have a specific grading system in the glossary to cover all mishaps to rare records. Particularly when the authors have a copy for sale. Rob
  7. Sadly delusional as ever, probably uttered in the same sentences as "There were no drugs at Wigan casino" and "I have an original copy of Frank Wilson" Rob
  8. A blast from the past great lad RIP Salty
  9. When I was dealing records with tats, in 2 years hunting in their home city we found 8 Cashmere's, funny thing was none were Ex or Mint ! all been pre-owned down T'ghetto in Washington !

  12. It took me nearly 39 years from first hearing this to get an original (Demo)copy, the waiting for it to arrive from the USA nearly killed me ! I always loved it. Played it several times now I have an original copy, in various DJ spots and the reaction has been mixed dance floor wise, however I think its building up to a reactivation on the scene in general, I think some of the "Newbies" have never heard it, despite claiming to be there "In the day"! Funnily enough it was requested Saturday night at North Wingfield, I was in two minds whether or not to play it and even commented to Pete Taylor it might "Clear the floor", he said its a great record play it ! Fantastic reaction to it ! Love the new info surfacing on the back ground to the track, keep it coming Andy Rix ! Rob
