  6. Well really enjoyed that, I love Detroit, even 25 years ago there were massive vacant lots, burnt out houses, Crack dealers-it all adds to the atmosphere of this great City. Waiting for 11 pm now BT Vision box is on the blink so not recording looks like I'm staying up to watch it ! Rob
  7. Just like to say after delaying the purchase of your book Neil-(Hoped I'd see you out)-what a beautiful looking package it is. I knew you'd make a good job of it and its a piece of our history as well. I'll post a revue on it when Ive read through it and one complaint-can you make "Authers signature" an option when purchasing the hardback ? Watch you Paypal account I think I have just sold another one for you-he's coming to have a look !!! All out there-BUY THIS BOOK- NOW ! more later Rob ps delivered in super quick time as well !!!

  10. Maggie Bell remembers recording "I'll hold you", Bobby Kerr co-wrote it-He was the brother of Simple Minds lead vocalist Jim Kerr-but died before Simple Minds found fame I think. Northern soul at its most Northern-Scotland !! Rob
  11. We also have repo badges now and you can buy embodied badges from the internet. Badges no longer mean anything. Well said Simon Both myself and Karen have Badges around the place tucked away in plastic bags from long lost all-nighters (Mine are mainly Wigan Anniversary's Clifton Hall, Cleggy etc) Karen's are Morecombe RSG events and loads of others from the 80's All above have never been "sown on"-just kept! Really a treasure trove for someone who -for whatever reason- would want to get their mits on to say "I was there" !! One that I do hold special is the Keele 1st Anniversary all-nighter badge -which I DJ'd at-- and comes with a Silver bookmark which was done by Neil Clowes as a thank you to all those that DJ'd. Anyone wishing to purchase a "Soul history in a bag-36 years worth--say you were there with original badges" package make offers over £25,000 and that price will also buy our silence Be sad to see them go-but we'll keep our FRIENDS and great MEMORIES Rob & Karen
