  4. Mine would be Freddie Chavez.
  5. Gotta be Jackie Wilson AND I saw him at Station Road. His book is a good read as well.
  6. Would be surprised if Pete Smith does,nt know this.Pete are you around?
  7. Very funny. Like that.
  8. Similar to the holiday thread. Watching Come dine with me and Bari Track was played by the programme in the background. Totally out of context. Sorry if this has been done before by the way.
  9. Not mine but worth a reminder. Richard Searling lent Dave McCadden his Jades on Nite Life. Dave managed to leave it on the top of the server bit in a chip shop. Left the chippie, remembered and went back BUT to late was the cry. Think it was virtually a one off at the time. Also RS leaving the Len Barry LP with I,ll always need you on the roof of his car back in the day then drove off never to be seen again.
  10. Bought Robert John Raindrops Love and Sunshine in 1975 from Paul Aisbitt in the Pilgrims Inn Bedford on a British A+M Demo. As I paid I walked back to my seat as the record dropped onto the floor and chipped a bit out of the run in groove. As they say NAP, but bloody close!
  11. I saw the 4 Tops at the Golden Garter around 1980. Golden Garter fairly well known to Manchester types. Went back stage and chatted for ages then got them to sign my British I,ll turn to stone. You will know the maku up of the group then. I think I gave it to Alan Pollard as a gift?? ( Maybe). Heaven.
  12. My local Euronics store in Hazel Grove, Stockport, has a great selection of tunes being played by one of the girls. She is mainly into dancefloor types like the Wigan era, August and Deneen and Like adam and eve. Well worth a visit. Not a bad looker either.
  13. Thanks have you got the label please? Steve
  14. Well I would certainly try to buy the Silhouettes from you no problem.
  15. Can anyone post a scan of Belles Dont Pretend New Zealand Action Will Collins Anything I can do on a yellow Italian release ( I think). Thank you
  16. Great post. Similar request ANYONE have any idea if the old american show Soul Train is available anywhere. I have found a few like the Ojays singing Backstabbers, Tower of Power Very hard to go etc BUT really looking for Jackie Wilson performing Higher and Higher. I have seen it before many moons ago. Recall the dancers doing a kind of routine to it. Not trying to match the beat at all. Also ANYONE got a video of Jackie singng Sweetest Feeling?
  17. Paris Sleepless Nights bloody dreadful. The bloke cant sing AND it sounds off key as well. Bobby Kline Say something nice etc. Garbage And that Goerge Lemons. Someone said earlier about rarity. This should be dumped. Utter utter crap. Feel better now.
  18. Yep thats the one. From memory the word ACTION is written in bold/black type. Have you got one? Judging by the message you did have one at some point. Thanks for replying.
  19. Still looking. Anyone got one please.
  20. If anyone is willing to sell I am looking for a copy of Belles Dont Pretend on NZ Action please.
  21. My vote would be Yvonne Baker You did,nt say a word. Was loaned an issue from a guy from Leigh back in the day with 3 cracks in it. View to buying it. Took it home and played the life out of it. My sister still groans today when it gets mentioned. BUT bloody hell it is some tune even today.
  22. I also have a George Smith I,ve had it slightly different take. Was said to belong to a member of the production team. Currently not here but at my brothers. So sorry cant scan. I used to have a George Kirby What can I do on a 10" RCA Custom Recording ?? I used to have Richard Popcorn Wylie Rosemary On an Atlantic Acetate. Said to be for possible release on Atlantic after Karen. Wonder where they live no? Both were straight takes of the recorded item. Then there was another George Kirby with extra strings and differing words on a 10" Chess/Checker acetate. Anyone know where that is now please.
