  1. You have mail.
  2. Fantastic. I remember that being taken. Thanks. Steve
  3. Maze 3 times at Manchester Apollo. Superb. Teddy at Manchester Apollo, I am a hetrosexual male and he turned me on. Saw Stevie Wonder at MEN Arena Manchester in 2010. Excellent.
  4. Personally I think Ady has been doing a great job with making stuff available in a legit fashion. Just my opinion.
  5. Sure someone posted a want for Bobby Garrett on here the other day
  6. Pete thats more or less my Northern LP collection. However could I have the Metros LP please. All the best Steve.
  7. Losing Control superb.
  8. 1st record well it varied as I lived near Bedford but went to school in St Neots, I remember things like Apple Peaches Pumkin Pie and Love Love Love. Remember missing the school bus to make sure I got to the record shop en route and buying Isleys Tell me it is just a rumour. Bought Jackie Wilson on MCA about 72 I guess, Sweetest Feeling. Then being on a bus on the way to see girlfriend and 3 older lads were coming home from WC. One , Barry is on here as DETO. Since found out that my mum used to play my records when I was out. Only found out a couple of years ago. Remember buying Baby hit and run after hearing it on Emperor Rosko show, I actually wrote down Baby hit him rough. Nice ending though as on my first trip to WC in May 74 some lad was playing it outside as we waited to get in. 2am in those days. Oh my god memories. Better do some work. Ha ha!
  9. Got to be Wipe those teardrops from your eyes, coz everything is gonna be alright. Billy Woods with Van McCoy at work. Let me make you happy.
  10. Dennie Fitz. It gets played here in Stockport at High Lane Con Club.
  11. Sure I saw it listed somewhere last year for £300. Set sale. Cant remember who though maybe Clarkie.
  12. Nice tune Pete. Played it on Sat night. I think about £300. Hope that helps. Regards Steve
  13. Smooth Radio Lady Love Lou Rawls as we speak
  14. Thanks Sunnysoul. Mists of time I guess. Sure its not for sale?
  15. Got and played Gwen Davis. ANYONE ANY IDEA WHO MAY HAVE A COPY OF THE BELLES DONT PRETEND on NEW ZEALAND ACTION. On second thoughts it might be credited as Sherlie/Shirley Matthews and the Belles. Any pointers anyone? I sold it to someone here in the UK about 12 years ago fool that I was. Mine was from someone in Oz. RS had one and JM sold one in or around 2005. HELP.
  16. Yes funnily enough I had a tape from Tony Warot way back around 77/78 with Fats then Bobby Bland. Strange! Must have been something I guess. However I DO recall RS playing Fats to end his spot. As I said I am almost certain RS used to have the last spot on the Sat morning as well.
  17. I like something like Herb Ward Strange Change. Nice easy start which builds and builds. As for Fats Domino It Keeps Raining. That was played by RS at WC oldies nights to end his spot. Also I seem to recall that he often ended the nighter doing the last spot in the morning with Fats rather than the usual 3 before 8 which was the Sat night domain. Confused you will be.
  18. You are very naughty Pete.
  19. Recently sold a copy of Bari Track. I DID notice something etched in the run out. Turned out I sold it to the guy who owned it 30 years ago AND it was his name on the run out groove.
  20. I know I know. I dont even recall WHY we had Wife Swap on.Not something I would normally view to say the least. Sorry people I hang my head in shame.
  21. That WIFE SWAP programme played the Delites Lover during the segment when the 2 couples reunite and talk about the swap at a hotel.
  22. Heard a great story from Pete Smith about the Twans. Slade were doing a gig either on a cruise ship or around the Carribean. The support act were the Twans according to Noddy Holder. I think thats how Pete said it. Over to you Pete.
