  5. Cant disagree with that both Pete S and raresoulman are top people in my book.
  6. Thanks George had it myself and sold it about 10 yearsago. No bloody idea why. Mine came via Oz. Maybe RS could be worth a call. Also Pete S sold one a little while back.
  7. Just wondering if anyone has a copy please? Its nearly my birthday after all!!!
  8. No worries. Saw the ad and assumed it was a Fairmount copy. Bit surprised it was on Rouser thats all.
  9. Wonder what this will make? Good luck SS members.
  10. Yep agree Keith. Cannot understand how this can be allowed to happen. As for the actual tunes. I dont mind myself. I constantly remember tunes from years ago that sound really good again. BUT I do like to hear new stuff that I have never heard before. Not really keen on RnB type. Come on Kev you should know better. No problem in any one turning a profit just do it the right way eh?
  11. Get away.Your collection is one I have always aspired to and admired. Remember when I used to come round and you let me tape things in the 70,s? Yvonne Baker,Mel Britt,Lee Roye etc. LOL!
  12. Now just got to locate my much sought after Dont Pretend Belles NZ Action. ANYONE. Foolishly sold mine about 10 years ago.
  13. Thats the one. How did it end up in a Stockport Junk Shop I wonder.
  14. Very tasty. I found The Supremes LP (think it was called A go go) many moons ago at a local junk shop. Lovely red and silver Japan copy.Thing of beauty I must say.
  15. Yes I have a copy after many years chasing. Then a real good mate went to see the Elgins and Yvonne signed a personal message to me on awhite cardboard sleeve. Guess where the Sonbert tune now sits? All without my knowledge. I dont know if Phil is on here, but THANK YOU it was very kind and thoughtful.
  16. Thank you for that.
  17. Any kind soul know what this went for yesterday please? Thank You
  18. I nominate Porgy and the Monarchs My heart cries for you. Sounds so tinny at home. That bad it totally turned me off it to this day.
  19. Now that seems to ring a bell. Thank you guys.
  20. Cheers Simon thank you. Had a PM saying it was Chris Jackson Since theres no doubt.Currently residing in Wolverhampton. Wont name the owner as it was a PM. Seems to be an acetate.
  21. Managed to snag an AussieWB 7" of Rhino.Maybe not one for the purist. But bloody hell it was of its time. Took the roof off.
  22. Hi all Back in the day Rob Marriott was a frequent visitor and he introduced me to allsorts. Anyhow around 80/81 he gave me a tape with a tune on it. Found out later it was an acetate/studio thing/one off. Said to be Chris (Marke) Jackson. Due for release by Dave Godin maybe soul city or right on. The punchline was something like "For theres no doubt anymore" or something similar. Tried you tube cant unearth it. Seem to recall I Levine either discovering it or playing it maybe. Can any kind soul help please? Thanks Steve Foran.
  23. Top quality tune just thinking about it yesterday.Saw him at Manchester Apollo late 70s/early 80,s. AWESOME. My fav though is Be Sure by him. Even my 16 year old rock loving son likes it..
  24. What about Leeds Central? They held a huge allnighter there about 75. Think it was concrete. Lol..
  25. Apology accepted. Ditto WOW. I thought I was good with my French copy. Always someone better. I remember being smug when I managed to obtain That Driving Beat LP after having the EP for a while. Then got told it was issued in Lebanon or maybe Libya by Dave Thorley.
