  1. Or try Popsike for values as a guide. Personally I would contact Pete Smith.
  2. Personally if John Manship says something he is 99.9% of times correct. Not looking for a fight I just think he is about the most knowledgeable Soul Man I know. Just my view
  3. Top one is mine. Had it since 77 or so! Memory plays odd tricks. I remember the boot coming out at the same time, bought it from John Manship so I was right to trust him I guess. Bloody £700 odd for a boot defies belief.
  4. Jackie Wilson and Betty Wright at Wigan. Teddy Pendergrass at Manchester Apollo. ( Fantastic). Maze 3 times at Manchester Apollo (Talk about soulful) and then full filled a lifetime wish Stevie Wonder at MEN Manchester just after he did Glastonbury. 10 rows from him. Awesome!
  5. I can remember Richard Searling playing it at WC around 78. BUT I am fairly sure he was playing it at a Friday Oldies Nighter. So I guess it was around prior to 78. Other than that with the Del Larks I don't know who first played it? Anyone?
  6. Wigan June/July 74. Waiting outside for 2am start in those days someone played Baby hit and run Contours on a portable. I knew that... inside Ila Van Cant help loving that man. Really stuck in my mind.
  7. Hi guys hope someone can help please? I am looking for 1 ticket for Utd v Liverpool on Jan 15th please. Needed for a friend visiting from Germany. I had 2 tickets but have just been told I can only have 1 now. So hopefully some kind soul may be able to help. Thank You Steve
  8. Nice choices Grant
  9. I am fairly certain that John Manship told me he actually sold it to Ian Levine at a Ritz all dayer. So that was it first JM, then IL then RS in that order but only the same copy. Hope that makes sense? Hi Julian alright mate?
  10. I think Ian Levine first played Don Gardner, but not huge for him. According to Richard Searling a few years back he got it off Levine along with 2 or 3 other massive things and RS played it out at WC, maybe around 79 onwards. Not totally certain but that my best guess Pottsy! Hope you are well? Regards Steve
  11. Very good my sort of playlist
  12. Top quality set that. Nice!!!
  13. Add my thoughts to that. Good luck Ted never met you but like your records and politics. Shame about Villa. Steve Foran
  14. Am I allowed to bump please?
  15. Can anyone help me with a copy of Bull Bygones please?
  16. I will play it for you at the Rat Pit in November Paul
  17. Yes Steve, Ian Levine actually borrowed Alan Pollards copy of the instrumental ( cant recall name) to get the backing. I remember Alan telling me!
  18. I saw another James Bounty acetate last year or late 2014. It was a different take with an extra verse I think from memory.
  19. Recall Richard Searling and John Poole having a chat about it as RS had (say a Palmer copy) played C/U JP was saying no its on Labeat. Stuff of legends!!
  20. Mate is/was a heavily used term in and around Bedfordshire by everyone young and old. Always made me smile when an older lady in the shop called you mate. Bit like love and chuck up here in Stockport now! I agree "can I get" drives me bloody mad. And yes I am 58!
  21. I have the rarer Orange issue. I posted it on here about 2/3 years ago. But cant find it. Sorry!
  22. You can add John Drevars to his playlist!
