I have to say that the first time i heard James Hunter I thought I was listening to an old Philly/soul artist/ recording. Fair play to him. Dave
-
Great artist - love his "tell her" as well. Dave
-
Good luck with your search mate. One of my all time favourite tracks. The production on it is nothing short of incredible. Dave
-
Cheers John. That's news to me. Thanks for the info, you learn something new every day. I'm assuming the "Hutson" one has the girlie backing. Take care, Dave
-
The correct title is "Frank Hutson - Ol' man me (Goodie Train" Good luck with your search, it's a tough one. Dave

I'm assuming 1dt is a typo as the d & s (1st) are next to one another on the keyboard. Best, Dave

My Green Soul Galore boot has "hold on" on the flip. Great track it is too! Dave. -
You can say what you want but "All over the world" is up there with the best of them IMHO. Dave

The problem with a lot of pressings comes about when the buyer plays the record and realises how shocking the sound quality is. Dave

Hi Paul. I've never done it myself but am always aware of how easy a mistake it is to make. However that is appaling behaviour from a buyer. I usually keep track of my sales with a paper copy and cross each each record off as I put it into the mailer to take to the post office. I hope your future sales are stress free mate. Dave

I was thinking of a different record. Dave

Pretty sure it's the chip shop story. I'll try and dig it out and post a scan of it when I get back from work this evening. Dave

Off topic - post removed. Dave

First heard it from the "do the crossover" cd. Went on to buy the 45 and still can't believe how good it sounds on original vinyl. Dave
-
I find a similar problem with "Marvin Smith's- who will do your running now" with very few copies being ex store stock. Dave

Now now lads...... Dave

Pictures available on request £100 including first class signed for delivery in UK. Full specification here: https://www.gsmarena.com/htc_desire_s-3776.php Payment by Paypal gift or personal cheque. All pictures are of the actual records for sale. Happy hunting. Dave Joe Simon — Drowning in a sea of love (VG++) — Incredible record. £5 Etta James — Mellow Fellow (VG++) ‘BB’ Hole £23 Jimmy Robbins — Reposessing my love (VG++) Slight ringwear on flip. £12 Betty Lavette — Stand up like a man/Just a fool (VG++) Two incredible sides. £35 Kings go forth - Don’t take my Shadow (VG++) Best mix and only available on 7”. £10 SOLD Kings go forth - Now we’re gone / High on your love (VG++) Brilliant percussion. £10 Silky Hargraves — Keep loving me like you do / You’re too good for me baby (MSK) (VG++) These are the instrumental reissues of both tracks. £7 Jackie Moore — Playing both ends against the middle / Clean up your own yard (VG++) Two great sides, with the flip finally getting the attention it deserves. £10 Vogues — True Lovers (VG++) £5 Vogues — True Lovers (Rare white demo) (VG++) £10 Luther Ingram — Exus Trek / If it’s all the same (VG++) This is the legitimate Atco second issue with the “Wylia” credit. Properly mastered and pressed in vinyl it sounds brilliant on my mono deck. Probably the only way to own this if you can’t afford an original and don’t want to suffer the dodgy sound quality of the various bootlegs. £30 SOLD Jackie Follett — I am what I am (VG++) There is some writing on label as shown, flip is clean. £22 Milton Wright - I Belong to you / The gallop (UK Grapevine) £5 Sons of robin stone — Got to get you back (VG+) Looks ok and plays great. £5 Marvin Smith — Who will do your running now / you’re really something Sadie (VG). As with most copies, this is a pretty beaten up but both sides play through like a vg++ copy with no pops, clicks or distortion whatsoever. Sound files available on request. £20 SOLD Bobby Fuller — Magic Touch (VG+) Original version of Melba Moore. £10 Lonnie Youngblood — Roll with the punches/ Tomorrow. (VG++) ‘BB’ hole. £10 Jackie Day — Before it’s too late /Instrumental (VG++) Slight spindle wear. Only way to get the instrumental version. £18 Mary Love — Lay this burden down /Instrumental (VG++) Slight spindle wear. Only way to get the instrumental version. £18 LP’s Martha Reeves — Black Magic (UK Tamla Motown) (Stereo) (VG++) Vinyl (VG+) Sleeve. No splits or tears. Includes “No one There” £13 Gladys Knight & Pips — Feeling Bluesy ((VG++) Canadian release on ‘Pickwick’ records. Includes the incredible “What good am I without you” “The Boy from crosstown” “Ain’t you glad you chose love” etc, etc, Deon Jackson — His greatest recordings (Solid Smoke)(VG++) Vinyl & Sleeve. 1984 release that brings together his best recordings including 4 previously unissued tracks including his versions of “Still remember the feeling” and “Hard to get a thing called love”. £13 M- As good as it gets, practically an untouched record that plays as if it were brand new store stock VG++The odd barely discernible surface mark or minor blemish, nothing that will affect play in any way. VG+ A few more marks or light scuffs than a VG++ record but still sounds fine for listening and/or DJing. No scratches.Light surface wear. A used but far from abused copy. VG Scuffs and light scratches throughout, most can't be felt. Expect some surface wear throughout the record with light surface noise and possibly a few pops in places. Should still serve as a suitable player copy for listening & DJing. VG- The record may have some scratches that will be deep enough to feel. Audible clicks and pops are likely consistent throughout the grooves.Expect noticeable noise throughout, NO SKIPS though.

Lonnie Lester - You Can't Go / You Choose (Nu-Tone)
Only Dreaming replied to Only Dreaming's topic in Record Sales
SOLD! -
On offer is my original copy of this monster record. Both vinyl and label are in clean condition and I would grade both as Vg++ (VG++The odd barely discernible surface mark or minor blemish, nothing that will affect play in any way.) using the Soul Source grading guidlines. Record plays loud and clear with no clicks or pops and has seen a stylus less than a dozen times since I bought it as new in the late 80's. This record has not been used for dj'ing. £100 + £2.50 Royal Mail First Class Signed for Full refund if not completely satisfied Payment by paypal gift please. Clean labels as shown. Lonnie Lester - You can't go (nu-tone)de.mp3 Thanks, Dave.
