  1. I haven't heard that track in years. Your sound clip brought all the memories flooding back. Such an incredible record. Good luck with the sale. Dave.
  2. Always thought that the Vinyl boot of this looked better than the original. Dave
  3. The term "wade in the water" also refers to the act of being baptised. My favourite versions are Little Sonny followed by Ramsey Lewis. The song was also used as the backing track on Tony Clarke's "they call me (a wrong man)" Dave
  4. I thought the same thing about my vinyl copy of Darrell Banks "Open the door to your heart" which was booted/counterfitted because it was so popular. Dave
  5. This is a brilliant documentary and absolutely unmissable. I saw it first time around a few years ago and will be sure to set my recorder for Sat. Thanks for the tip. Best, Dave
  6. Deleted as record is re-advertised
  7. I paid £45 for my issue a few years ago. It's a brilliant tune and worth every penny. Dave
  8. I don't know about the promo but there is no way the issue is selling for £100 on the planet I'm living on. Dave
  9. Ray Pollard still sounds incredible Dave

  18. Hi Jocko. The advice I'm giving is based on my set up which is a PC running windows XP SP3 and using the free Windows 'Movie Maker' software. Basically you want to combine an MP3 audio file with a jpg image file. The easiest way I found to make videos for YouTube was to take a picture of the record label via the scanner (150 dpi is fine) and save it as a Jpg image file. Open up windows movie maker and start a new project. Add the image and sound file to the project and increase the image time so that it matches the length of the track in question. You end up with something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaPCgnM2FT4 As your confidence increases you can try multiple images and "pan" effects. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lCckI_I5iE There's lots of info on the internet. Good luck. Dave
  19. Have to agree John. The same thing happened to me last year with several records. That really killed it for me as I put a lot of time into making the videos to upload.I haven't really bothered since. Dave
  20. It may be just me but I always thought that mint styrene 45's often sound "brighter" than the same record in a vinyl press.
  21. It's probably old store stock. I got a 45 from 1966 the other day and it looks like it was made just yesterday and it's a definite original Take care, Dave
  22. My copy of "if this is love" is vinyl. Dave
  23. What's the sound quality like? Are they recorded from original vinyl? Cheers, Dave
