  1. Martyn, I agree it is sometimes very easy to get sidetracked and it doesn't cause a problem when it happens every now and then. Just recently though there has been a lot more of it than usual so we just wanted to remind everybody really And Mossy, nice try but you are very on topic seeing this thread is about being off topic
  2. Recently there has been an increase of off-topic posts in the AATS forum. Whilst some banter can be expected on a lively discussion board, the increase in chit chat is having a negative impact on the site. This week alone myself and the the other mods have deleted several off-topic posts. We also ask that members try and think before posting in AATS when there is possibly another forum that is more suitable. Please can everybody make an effort to keep off topic to a minimum. Note, posting off topic and then saying "sorry back on topic" will not stop posts being deleted. If your post is removed and you are unhappy about it please advise the Forum Staff on the Members Feedback area. Please see Terms of Use and House Rules below for further guidance. Terms of Use House Rules Thanks for reading:thumbsup: Reg AATS Forum Moderator.
  3. I feel like I've seen it already

  5. For a packet of post gig pork scratchings and a half of Old Tom? I've told you Hillary, I'm not interested:glare:

  9. Mick Avery in your bed? Err that is wierd , nite!
  10. Glad you said that....
  11. I think this topic has run its course now...so I'm going to close it as sounds like most are fed up with it;)
  12. Ha I like it...you're just jealous of his tux...too jazzy (ha ha hope you have seen the inbetweeners he he)..
  13. I love a lot of the white stuff except the Stones and the B word obviously. Brian Auger, Spencer Davies , Georgie Fame. and the Kinks (obviously)....and big Long John too:yes: Just bin listening to Black Cat on Youtube...brilliant!!
  14. You shouldn't have told me that Ady!
  15. Me of course :-) Look at all those lovely mod boys:P
  16. I'm with you Mark...nobody will really give a rats...we think that our music is so precious but it's not very liked democratically...every now and then a few nice youngsters will catch on but nothing to write home about. My daughter has been brougt up with soul music and I still can't convince her that the Candi staton original of "you got the love" is superior to Florence and the Machine's caterwailing...we haven't got a chance
  17. and not forgetting the casualeers
  18. Oi what's Reg Molehusband ever done to you?
  19. Okay you are correct...Out on the floor is a great old record, imagine if you heard it for the first time today:whistling:
  20. what's that Whitesnake record? Or the other one by KC and the sunshine. band..? I think they are called "here we go again" and "give it up" I think I used the word tedious before..and I have to say that I was getting more moist (as Mr Cato would say) by the talk of Coronation Street oldies! So I will ask again, seeing this is the forum that I look after these days...has this subject been done to death before? Have several of the posters on this thread posted almost the same answer previously..? Have you really not got anything else to talk about without worrying about what everybody else is doing? Surely your own opinion is paramount without worrying about everybody else? I will leave you to think about that:whistling:
  21. Soul Source has got a lot to answer for! I met flippin Joe orton on here for the first time...! remember him Steve?
  22. This one's a corker!
  23. I want one! Northern Soul in the nightclub style...! I seem to remember a few drunken sort of karaoke sessions at the Orwell. Alison did a very special version of Minnie Ripperton
