Ah I thought it was him! The video is quite good, seen it a couple of times flicking through Sky.
  2. Both these items are now been sold. Sorry if it took a while for me to get back to anybody who offered to buy, I've been a bit busy at work. Everybody concerned has been contacted now. Best Reggie
  3. Barbara Mason - You Better Stop It - Arctic £100 ono Sublime piece of soul music , plays very well , slight hiss on run in and a little background noise near beginning if you listen really carefully. Priced accordingly. Clay Brown - Walk With A Groove - Florentine - Mint Minus - £130 ono Wonderful funk edged crossover dancer. Reason for very low price (usually around the £300 mark) is that it has a slight warp that occurred in transit. It plays perfectly on 4 different systems, vinyl is mint - and label is in pristine condition. If you're interested in this 45 or need further information please contact me. As I said this is priced accordingly but I offer a money back guarantee if you're not happy with how it plays. If I know you I'll consider shipping it to you before you pay so you can try it for yourself. If interested in any of these please email me on bluegrassboy65@yahoo.co.uk or PM me. Thanks for looking!

  5. Seriously on this point...if you don't know the buyer you should wait for them to clear and then wait another few days on top because they can bounce after they've cleared if your bank's clearing system is too quick for the antiquated cheque stopping system.
  6. Just being nosey but who's the seller? As it's finished now I can't see...UK? I like it, awful to dance to...one of those tunes you jump up to dance to and then remember when it's too late that you can't dance to it Carl and Maria W play innit?
  7. What about this one..ha ha
  8. My strongest memory of the soul scene is Soul Bros Inc, the Pyramid starting and the dancefloor completely filling at either Parr Hall or Morecambe..magical...every time I hear those first few notes it comes back to me
  9. Although I am a big Al Green fan in this case I do prefer the Frank Howard version. I do like a lot of the Excello stuff, love the Avons and have quite a few of their 45s as I collect a bit of girl group stuff...
  10. I checked last night and mine is the first scan..I bought it off somebody at Parr Hall in the 80s. my other half played it at one of the original Soul or Nothings a few years ago and loads of people asked about it-was quite surprised how many people didn't know the track although I must admit I'd never heard it out in years until Jamie Hartford played it for me by special request at my wedding reception Nice to hear some background about the record as it is one of my all time favourites
  11. Was also on CD comp...crossover soup
  12. I keep looking at them both and I really can't remember which one I have! If one is a boot I imagine that's the one I've got SOS, Pie disco demand..you name em I had em in the 80s
  13. I've got one myself, it was one of the first original 45s I bought...(probably because it was just as cheap as a bootleg, ha ha)....and stills sounds the business

    Adele she's called....strange title I agree
  18. Freebasing should lose some traffic now!
  19. I can't believe that Eddie mentioned that he went to see Bob Dylan in 1978....ha ha! I bet he never would have admitted that in 1984
  20. What would be great is if somebody would do a guide to packaging records I am the packager in my house and I am never sure whether I'm going too over the top (ie too many cardboard /jiffy bag inserts) or not. How can I ensure that a 45 or 33 arrives in perfect condition for certain (postman/lady dependant obviously). I always put the Sam Dees message on the packaging but are there any further recommendations? I do tend to recycle mailers as I don't see why not if they're intact but I've noticed that some people moan about that on here. Comments and guidance welcome!!
  21. I'm always peeved when the music stops at midnight, the bar shuts and the lights come on.....until the next morning when I'm relieved I didn't stop out any later The 2am finishes are always the worst for me However, for some reason I tend to pace myself far better at an all niter...whenever I go to Broughton Wings for example (which does have an early finish but also does make that very clear on fliers etc) I always seem to cram in more wine than Floyd on a good day
  22. Phew. don't see you for a few weeks and that hair doesn't half get out of hand Steve when do the jokes about sitting on your lap start Didn't realise it was you who's been playing up front for City for the last few months Have a good one mate
  23. I mean close it if you don't want people to comment...then potential buyers won't be put off by other people's opinions Eg you post up a sale, some bugger comes on says it's poo...and somebody who may have bought it blind is put off If you close it right away then nobody can post on the thread. But then again if you get good comments it may help I suppose Ignore me...I talk rubbish on here when I'm bored at work....so a lot
  24. I prefer well done Eric Bristow meself...... Paul...sales threads, to avoid comments of a negative nature..... open, post...CLOSE
