  3. Picked up a copy of "Occasionally I Cry"by the above artist.Have seen that it sold twice in 2012 for reasonable money but not in Manship vol.6 or on you tube,as far as I can tell. This would suggest it's quite scarce, anyone got an idea of value or,indeed, any other info? Condition is about vg and it plays fine. Thanks in advance, Clive.
  4. Got a demo I,m thinking of selling, any ideas on price. Can only find issues to compare. Condition vg+. Thanks,Clive.

  11. If this has been mentioned before,I apologise in advance.I notice that the Tempos copy has a running time of 3.15 as opposed to 2.45 on the Younghearts.Sad to say I,ve just timed my Tempos at 2.35, just out of interest. This would suggest the 2 tracks are one and the same? Seems a big difference in value for a name change,or is that just the collector in all of us? Clive.
  12. I presume you want an original copy?
  13. Whilst" No Place To Go" and "You Gonna Wreck My Life"are the same song, there is an extra guitar part in the latter.Meanwhile, Guitar Ray,s version bears little resemblance to the other two.Three great songs though!
  14. Please send a list to veeread@hotmail.co.uk Thankyou.
  15. Russ,have a copy of Rhonda Davis,with 2 "b"side labels,onDuke issue.Vg+ at least,£250.
  16. Got an issue with 2 ,B,side labels £250.
  17. Was only talking about UPTJ this very weekend. I think it only did niters for a short while, before that it was Crewe,s regular nightclub.Saw people like The Fantastics,Slade,Fleetwood Mac,The Drifters etc,.Down to the Dirty Duck first then onto UPTJ.One summer,1970 or 71,Ithink,UPTJ ran a Disco Train from Crewe to Scarborough, seriously, disco and dancing in the parcel van, music piped to all the carriages,5 hours in Scarborough, music all the way back, then finished off at UPTJ for an hour or so! Think it was a Sunday, happy days indeed.
  18. Is it on a proper album or just the compilation thingy that I,ve got? Also are Martha Starr and Cressa Watson two different people?
  19. From the information,so far, I would ask myself the question "is this a record I want to own and play/maybe D.J.with? If the answer is yes,go back to the seller and start your negotiations at half of what you paid. You will know at what point you feel comfortable with any outcome. If the answer to the question is no(or you think you might want to sell it in the near future)ask for a refund. It sounds like the seller is being reasonable,so any negotiations should be conducted in a harmonius way! Good Luck.
  20. The Federal Club at Crewe, next one New Year,s Eve. The Ad Lib at Lincoln, next one March 2015. The Pow Wow Nighter at Stoke on Trent, next one 20/12/14. The King Bee at Sheffield, next one 13/12/14. More details in events.Hope this helps. Regards,Clive. Oops! Mace beat me to it.
  21. Thelma Houston,£15+£3p&p
  22. Creedence Clearwater Revival---I Heard It Through The Grapevine.I was once berated by Eddie Edmondson for playing it at a mate,s 50th.Happy days!
  23. How,s it going? Well, here in Crewe at the Crosville Club we,re coming up to 14 years(including a forced venue change).During that time we must have averaged about 130 and during the last 12 months 150/200.There is almost always a great atmosphere in a place that holds about 300, tops. Why does it seem to work and others fail? I have no idea! The music is fairly predictable, barring a few oddities, the punters are mostly local but there are some travellers and nearly always someone we,ve never seen before. As far as the number of events is concerned,I think there are too many using the same menu on the same week-end in the same area.
  24. I,m sure I bought this in New York in 2007,got it back home, decided I didn,t really like it that much and sold it for about £30,eventually! This is the first time I,ve seen or heard of it since.
  25. Plus another $100 to clean 45,s!! Looks like an updated version of the Discotron, does it play the record whilst cleaning it?
