Not Had A Natter About Watches For A While
I bought one of these a couple of years ago, looks a more expensive watch than £400+. I wear mine quite often (wearing it now actually).

Sad News: Ritchie Andrew from Llandudno RIP
Very sad news indeed, I've known Ritchie for years and had quite a few good records off him. I think it was Ritchie and Bob Foster that got me into real ale back in the late 70's.

Worst Experience ever visiting an All Nighter,
yeah just as I remember it. Queen's Hall old tram shed.

Best live soul act you have seen?
Yeah I was there for that one, one of the best acts I've seen.

Articles: North Wales Soul Club 1973 - Local Newspaper Feature
That pic must be 80's, I was thrown out of the '73 gig. Didn't actually do any thing I was just standing in the wrong place at the wrong time and ended up on my back on the pier with my jacket ripped. I did see him a few months later at Leeds Queens Hall. I'm not a Major Lance fan to be honest.

I was at the Major Lance night on Colwyn Bay pier but got thrown out by the bouncers before he came on stage.

Bangor 70s alldayer poster
I'm sure I went to this one with some of the Llandudno crowd I remember Soul Sam was on when we got there. I don't remember it being very good and I'm sure we only stayed a couple of hours.

Poll: Version Battle - What Condition My Condition
Betty for me too, just love her voice.

Least attended event
Colwyn Bay pier, sometime mid to late 80's I think we counted less than 20 in. Probably the coldest night of the winter, no heating on inside I stuck it until about 2o'clock and went home.

Poll: A Battle of The Brothers - Right Track
Billy's version is a classic, no doubt about it, but I think I'd rather listen to Jerry's version these days.
-
Northern Soul 70's Fashion
I remember a seeing a guy in Wigan with a pair of baggies made from beer towels. And you think you didn't look cool.
-
Carousel Club Manchester
Yes I went there not a bad nighter as far as I can remember.

Books of The Year 2018?
My son bought me the Memphis '68 and the Harlem '69 for my birthday a couple of weeks ago, I've just started the Memphis '68, all very good so far.

Poll: Version Battle - I'm So Glad I Found You
Linda Jones and Whatnauts all day long. One of her best I would say.

Info needed: Women on the Northern Scene
Could be Pat Swallow or something like that, there was a bit of tension between Llandudno and Rhyl (skinhead days) so we didn't go there.

Poll: Version Battle - I Watched You Slowly Slip Away
Gotta be Howard.

Leeds Queens Hall Festival All-Nighter 1974
I went there on a coach with the North Wales Soul Club, what a dump of a place. Sound system was dreadful my ears were ringing for days after. I do remember the Joker being played a few times that night, can't remember the DJs though. I think we had a better time going around some rough pubs in the city centre earlier in the night.

Poll: Version Battle - The Chase Is On
Artistics for me but JH great version also, I'm not so much into the up-tempo stomp stomp stuff these days but ask me in 6 months time and it might be different.

Mighty Sam - Papa True Love
Great record, better than some of the sh*te I've heard over the years.

Poll: Version Battle - I Have Faith in You
Edwin by a mile, Doni is a awful singer imo.

old north wales allnighter venue gone
The friendship club, that's long gone, there's a school there now. I remember the Pomagne now, foul tasting stuff.
-
old north wales allnighter venue gone
Yes I went to most of them, they were quite good and not a bad venue for an all-nighter. Soul Sam was on a couple of times in the 70's, Richard Searling and Keith Minshull in the 80's. I remember one night in the mid 80's when there was about 20 punters in and on one of the coldest nights of that winter no heating on inside, I only managed to last until about 2:30. I only live about 2 mins. walk from the pier and have been watching it slowly fall apart over the last 20 odd years. the beach looks a lot better now without it.

Poll: Version Battle - Stubborn Heart
Not much in it but the Sheppards just nicks it for me.
-
Wigan Casino-'live acts'?
Yes I remember that one, all those so called soul fans sitting on the floor looking the other way.
