  2. I found a copy of the 45 when it was being played in 88 on the jazz scene. It was nestled in a load of french 45s on the the Port De Clingancourt flea market in Paris.I paid peanuts and later sold it.From memory it is the same cut as the lp with Whip It on me on the b side. This was a big record for Gilles Peterson.I sold it to mod dj Rob Bailey so you might want to try him.
  3. Here's some of my records.
  4. Originals in vg plus condition or better please.PM Me
  5. I'm ploughing through it.A great book from the dancefloor perspective but why so may spelling mistakes!. Sterling,Bopper and Quartro for starters..
  6. Angus has it right a mod scene record from 87/88.It was hammered. It would never have got a look in on the northern scene around that time as it is a gritty boogaloo record.I have heard Berts Apple Crumble is being played....why? there's hundreds of great uptempo soul records out there.
  7. Boots has always been live tapes and lp's of gigs ie rock bands etc Amazing Kornyphone.Pressings has always been the term on the northern soul scene....ie Jeff King turning up and opening the boot of his car selling the latest pressings of big records .....ie someone found out the real name of Richards Joe Matthews c/u and it has been pressed up and dropped from the playlist......I see this bloke at fairs every now and again.
  8. This is supposedly the boot and all the boots are supposedly originate in the USA
  9. We may have to go back to the bad old days when records were dropped once booted, you had to travel to hear the latest sounds and you were after the next biggie and exclusive......GREAT.
  10. I would love to see these boots against the Sandy Golden 45.I'm sure Saucepan is on this playing his synthesiser.
  11. But have you asked for a refund on the soulpack.
  12. But was he given the option to return the soulpack?. and IL must have a severe lack of judgement in sending a pissed off customer bootlegs....what a can of worms...the B.P.I/Trading Standards/someone on here who legally licensed product not to mention customs/self declaration/import duty/taxman.
  13. Nik nak why didn't you just send them back and ask for a refund? I don't think you have made it clear that you asked for one.
  14. VG and above copy please.I have £30 for immediate paypal payment.
  15. This is the fake label man who is posting copied labels on boots. He is doing it to fund his scooter racing. He is making a good living out of these "fun label" records. The accurate description should read.G Condition bootleg.Original bootleg label has been covered over with a coloured copy of the original label.Original bootleg label ruined.Pretend you are a top soul deejay at your local handbag night.Turn down the lights a bit of Norman Collier miking and no one will know the difference. https://www.facebook.com/alan.hamilton.12914?fref=ts&hc_location=ufi
  16. Thanks for the info. So beware of anything scratched in SG 2652 then! At least they can't remove that. These "fun" records with fake labels are very convincing.
  17. Can anyone provide me with the run out numbers etc on this one.I know that there are unscrupulous people copying original labels and sticking them over the Out Of The Past and Soul Galore boots. Can anyone provide therun out numbers on the boots? Many thanks.
  18. Try Discogs.Quick and easy to list and it also recommends what price you should list at.Less commission than eBay.
  19. Still after a copy without styrene hiss.
  20. Missed the recent one for sale.VG and above cond original please.
  21. I bought a real one 2 weeks ago and I have that nasty pink one hanging around and saw this thread.People must be bloody stupid.Buy a pink one and stick your own label on if you are that desperate and save 90 quid or better still buy some real records and stop pretending.Until there are national big current northern soul records that are rare and guarded with cover up names etc this is going to happen.
  22. I remember reading in Blues and Soul that the seventies cast of Emmerdale turned up at Wigan
  23. Played by Soul Sam in June 76 and supplied by John Anderson....he was also spinning....Philly Dog around the world,,,,Joe Cook,Fork In The Road,Lennie Curtis...a loan from Colin Curtis,The Nights-Let There be love. I got a second issue from a dealer who had bought out loads of Jetstar stuff. It was tucked in with loads of blue/white Jetstar records.
