  1. A few more from down under. Some nice birds out there :-) Jabiru, Kingfisher, Bee Eater, Cassowary & Chick
  2. Been away here and there over the last month or so, so not put any photo's up here recently. Went to OZ for a few weeks in May and had a great time exploring thew wet tropics, Cairns and surrounding areas From Mission Beach to Cape Tribulation and out to Undara, well recommended but as with all OZ, just not enough time to see just a pin prick on the map. Anyway, a few of the locals.......... First one is a Platypus. Not a great photo but I did get some goodish video footish. Not quite sure what the spider is but was small and liked me brekkie!! A moth that looks like a skipper from the uk A Praying Mantis that was hanging about the shower block!! Went on a croc cruise and saw four, one small one and three big un's, between 4-5 metres!!! Camera was on a bit of zoom for these :-)
  3. Well that was exciting. Two bids in the last two seconds, $5324.55
  4. Sounded alright at stoke at 5.30am a few years ago
  5. Just got back from a few days being a tourist in Reykjavik, Iceland and did a snowmobiling trip. Brilliant even though it was a long day and took 5 hours to get to the hut on the glacier via two monster vehicles The coach had 48" wheels and that's the wife stood next to it to give an impression of how big they are or how small she is The sun going down just as the last of the riders are coming back on the last photo
  6. I have an Envivo cassette converter, paid a pricey £9.99 from Aldi a couple of years back to transfer all my tapes to MP3 and load them on mixcloud and it's done the job i wanted it to do. Can't fault it at that price and I've had no mishaps with the tapes messing up. Just found this
  7. A couple from another day in Snowdonia, this time on Moel Siabod in the snow. The first is of old quarry houses and the second is coming off the summit as the sun tries to show its face.
  8. I know of a wild bees nest that has been in a particular tree for years and gets very busy in the warmer weather. I'll try and get a decent photo of it next time I'm passing it but it is about 20/30ft up. This is one from a couple of years back and you can just make out the bees
  9. Thanks for the comments. These two are in a house my brother is doing up, above the bedroom window. The plaster was loose but luckily all the little blighters have had it Tried getting the down as a whole nest but so fragile they crumble as soon as they are touched. Amazing things. Glad you liked the Snowdonia pics. Hoping I may be there again this coming weekend with all the snow about
  10. Might as well attach a photo
  11. Good job it wasn't the height of summer the other day otherwise it may of been interesting
  12. Cheers Steve. My camera is a Sony compact dsc hx50. I don't have a big posh thing :-) It's ok but not as good as the predecessor but that got water in it on the Carneddau!!!!! Second time I've been there when it's been empty. Andy
  13. Excellent photo's on here. A couple from me on top of Snowdon New Years Day. Not often you have that place to yourself for half an hour Happy New Year
  14. Oops sorry Louis, been a long time :-)
  15. Also remember all nighters at the Horwich leisure centre and soul nights at westhaughton cricket club being very good around the early 90's
  16. Enjoyed that, excellent stuff. Although I didn't travel all over I had great memories of windsford Hyde Keele droylsden Manchester's cis and a few other localish ones. Great to be part of it
  17. Great photo's but for me it has to be the top one. Now I'm one for the more live shot rather than the silky cotton affect of water. I know there are some great silky photo's knocking about and indeed a few other forums I go on have some brilliant ones but sometimes they just don't look right. Not having a go at your's or anyone else's but I just like the more live affect. I have attempted to do the silky look without perfecting it so that may have something to do with it :-)
  18. What was the free 7"? I have a few freebies but not this. I was there but obviously not one of the first 1000. I seem to remember a jazzy version of ordinary joe, Terry callier, getting played in the main room. Great memories and the modern room opened up my ears to something different :-)
  19. Llyn Geirionydd & Llyn Crafnant
  20. Two more from a sunny Barmouth although the bikes could be at a beach in L.A. or somewhere :-)
  21. Bala Lake in the mist and Cregennan Lake under the Cadair Idris Range
  22. Llyn Elsi above Betws y Coed Some cool wooden dude :-)
  23. Some fantastic photo's on here again, great thread :-) Not posted anything on here for a bit but thought I'd share these from a few weekends we have had in wales between end of September and last weekends heatwave. Water is the theme One from last weekend is the toll bridge and the George hotel at Penmaenpool And this is the bridge to Barmouth over the Mawddach Estuary Barmouth beach
  24. I really should try and listen to this more often than I do.
