Brilliant. Was lucky enough to visit the Blue Mountains nearly 10 years ago on our first trip down under. 3 sisters and the Wentworth falls, great times

Yeh, I can believe it. When in Scotland a couple of years back, quite a lot turned up near to where we were staying in Kilchoan as there was sightings of a couple of Corncrake that had turned up. Yes we did have a listen out for it but nothing

That really does tell a story. Reminds me of some folk watching a piece of plastic go round and round Great picture

Had a snowy walk in Snowdonia on Saturday enjoying the last of the snow before the rains come First one is of Llyn y Foel just below Moel Siabod with a snow shower over Capel Curig The second one is looking down the Ogwen Valley with Tryfan on the right and Pen yr Ole Wen and the Carneddau on the left The third is Cwm Idwal The fourth is of the Nant Ffrancon valley flanked by the Carneddau on the right and the Glyderau on the left, taken from Cwm Idwal. Another great mountain day

Steve First time I've seen them on the river bollin. Have seen Goosander's before and only a glimpse of a Mandarin. They did fly off while I was trying to get a bit closer
-
Not the best bird pictures but was quite surprised to see a pair of Mandarins and also a pair of Gooseander's (only got the male) on the river Bollin. Full zoom on my compact, also a Robin that wouldn't play ball and the back of a Buzzard. Winter watch near Manchester Airport

Well done Steve and good to finally meet you last night. Hope to catch up again along the way
-
Luckily I've seen a few but always hope to see one when I go out especially October-March. Such a great feeling

Right place and all that Was hoping it to be all clear, then wishing for an inversion but I suppose a spectre or four will have to do

Happy new year to you all. Some great photo's already. Love the pointing finger of the Starling Murmuration , brilliant Steve I had a wander over Helvellyn and a few more fells on New Years Day, and what a day. More like spring than winter 1st one is a Brocken Spectre on Striding Edge, the 2nd is looking back on a clear Striding Edge with a distant Ullswater in the background and the 3rd is looking over to the Western Fell ranges from my lunch spot on Dollywagon Pike

27th December, and a Final visit to the mountains of the UK for this year and it was more like Autumn on Snowdon than mid winter. The same time last year was -18 wind chill and a blizzard while this year was a barmy +2 and no wind!! First picture was on the ascent looking back to a cloud covered Beddgelert Forest and the slopes of Y Garn. The second is looking over to the coast of Anglesey on the descent path

"Forgot about this picture of Thomas on the infamous Crib Goch ridge earlier this year Steve" Steve, great photo of the Crib. One from the Crib a couple of years back with an inversion building. One great day that was

Edwin Starr, Brenda of the Exciters, a member of the Four Tops who I can't recognize the writing. I do remember the Four Tops being chauffeured in and out quite quickly while the artists mingled with the crowd. Chuck Jackson was also signing his LP that came out on the kent label at the time.

I think it might be. It was a small tape in a big camera, had it on me shoulder and got told by the bouncers I couldn't film anything! I know its in the loft somewhere. There is a shop local to me that transfers stuff so may dig it out and see if its worth doing.

Thanks Steve. Done most routes on Snowdon, Crib Goch being my favourite, Llanberis being my least Hopefully be up there next week and on New Years Day. The joys of being nearly at the end of the 50's

I remember going to a couple of these. I managed to get a short video of Frankie Gaye and Kim Weston dueting but cant seem to transfer it on to todays media. Also have a couple of tapes off the onsite radio. I'll have to transfer them on to mixcloud. Also managed to get the programme signed by all the acts.......

Back on topic Three from an epic walk over the Glyderau, Snowdonia on Friday. A good crisp sunny winters day The first one looking across to Tryfan from the summit plateau of Glyder Fach The second one is looking down the Nant Francon towards Bangor and Angelsey. The lake is Llyn Bochlwyd, aka, Lake Australia, due to its resemblance to Australia The third one is a hazy shot of my route around Castell y Gwynt (castle of the winds) and onto the moonscape plateau of Glyder Fawr in the distance. The snowdon massif taking centre stage

Keeping with the Cornwall theme of late, a couple of phone photo's from this weekend in Cornwall. The sunrise this morning from our base just outside Looe and one of Pelperro harbour on Saturday.

Just had a break in a cosy cottage in Patterdale, Lake District. Sun rays on Ullswater, the path around Ullswater, leading to Aria Force and two of the view towards the Helvellyn range from the cottage showing the flooded fields and then two days later, the unflooded fields with the morning sun just hitting the fell tops.

Had a bit of a local wander down by the River Bollin and round the back of Manchester Airport yesterday. Phone photo's don't really do the coulour's much justice
