Probably because its an American film and volleyball is/was bigger than football over there

Steve, its the Tom Hanks film, Castaway, where he make his imaginary friend, Wilson, out of a discarded ball and palm tree/coconut hair.
-
Don't know if its me but I've just been stopping and starting the video and it looks like the kingfisher is coming out backwards the turning itself round. Amazing if thats right.
-
Reminds me of Wilson
-
No worries. Wasn't sure if folk could view it ok as I've done it on Windows media. Thanks

OK not a photo but kingfishers are a bit quick. A short video of the kingfisher I found a few days ago. I saw but didn't get any photo's of them coming and going so this will have to do for now. I have slowed it down and cut the file size down but it's still fast so don't blink kingfisher3.wmv

Spot the tree creeper chick. Saw 4 of them on the oak tree and managed to get one on the camera phone. Also saw 2 parakeets but no photo. Tonight

Thanks for that link. Just found out we were listening to the short eared owl 2 nights ago

Bloody hell, wildlife of a different nature tonight then Hope all is ok

OK not a photo but as there seems to a few birders on here I thought I'd share this about White Tailed/Sea Eagles over quite a few areas of the UK. As there's not many planes and things in the sky at the minute, another good reason to keep looking up https://www.roydennis.org/category/sea-eagle/isle-of-wight-sea-eagles/

Forgot i had this short video of the fox cub in a different folder. AcD_20200503_145532.mp4

Cheers. As with most things, right place, right time

Fantastoc photos Steve & Veedub I went back to the fox's den and caught sight of a couple of cubs but only had my phone so not a great zoomed in pic. It confirmed to me that the den sight is well used as there's also the remains of a pheasant. I was also lucky enough to see two kingfishers and found the nest sight. I'll be back with the camera

A couple more rainbow type pics. First one from this evening as a small shower passes over and one from my first visit to OZ when the sun gained a halo over Sydney

A couple of rainbow pics taken just now. Really bright colours not really showing on the photos, taken through the window

The Best Of Margie Joseph and Hurt Of The City LPs
Soulandy replied to Soulandy's topic in Look At Your Box
I would of possibly got mine from a second hand shop or record fair at least 20 years ago and they are in very good condition. I know I wouldn't of paid more than a few pound each, no more than £5 at the time. Would these be worth much more now or just an oddity to a collector to have? No intention to sell anything at the moment, but as time goes on -
The Best Of Margie Joseph and Hurt Of The City LPs
Soulandy replied to Soulandy's topic in Look At Your Box
Thanks for info. First wet day of lockdown i decide to sort the loft out and spent 2 hours going through my vinyl. Just curious about a few things. Thanks -
I have an LP from Germany I think, that came out via Ace Records maybe late 80s early 90. Only info is a one sheet insert. Not sure where i got it from but any info gratefully recieved. I also have a various artist LP, The Hurt Of The City kent records, in the same format. These are both unplayed by me has my decks went years ago. Thanks

Yes mate, couldn't smell anything and apart from the two remains, no visable evidence apart from piles of soil and flattened vegetation.

While out in the woods the other day i came across what i thought was a badger set untill i saw the remains of a couple of legs from some animal so I'm guessing it might be a fox den but unsure. The blue bells are a bit on the flat side so i guess the area is well used. Anyone any ideas

Fantastic photo Orange Tips seem to be the in butterfly this spring along with the Brimstone, especially on the Carrington Moss area where there seems to be hundreds of them. All the other suspects but these two have really taken off this spring. Not seen as many for donkeys years.
