  1. Discog order from the US, someone new to discog, came as an echeque. Still haven't found out what is but I just waited a week till it cleared and then shipped dean
  2. Greetings O Great hive Mind, I believe there are two different issues with different matrix numbers of this one so how do you tell the difference and how does that affect the value? dean
  3. Sean Oliver, recorded in Canada, came to me as a CDR from the UK distributor the week of a Stoke allnighter so I defo played that at Stoke before it was out. dean
  4. On Discog, if a buyer gives me good feedback I return the compliment, but in any case after a month, I assume that if I haven't heard from them they are happy, and I give good feedback. Of course you get people who wait till you've given them positive feedback then put the boot in, having not communicated dissatisfaction previously!

  9. Scanning Rod? Wouldn't know how, but its a very light mark, that requires some intense staring to see. Anyway stood over my ragu it occurred to me...It probably came from you! dean
  10. Yes Rod thanks, it has one long mark that you can't hear, so I graded it harshly to avoid later problems. I did research the record, I've owned for over 30 years, played it out about twice, and £800 might be a tad strong but the choice to buy it or not is up to the individual. dean
  11. GENE WOODBURY 'EVER AGAIN' [DEL-VAL] VG+ £800 XXXXSOLD One very light mark brings down grade bit it is basically perfect and most importantly plays perfectly. 12. Yes Sir, It is...John Manship had the same problem.
  13. no luck I'm afraid
  14. You mean like mine! I've got some enquirers to take care of but I better take the morning off and try later. dean PS , The new 9.6% fees made my invoice a bit nasty this month.
  15. Nope can't enter via your portal either.
  16. Reality is a passing interference with more ethereal contemplation and shift work twists ones melon..However even if it is Thursday, and I'm not saying your wrong, I can't get the bloody site to fire up. dean
  17. Hi chaps, Anyone having trouble raising discogs this morning...I can't get to it no way no how. dean
  18. I have a m/m- US demo for sale £150. 'Paypal Gift' would be rewarded with free special delivery. dean
  19. I'm also saying yes to Aretha, Sandra Wright, and Candi Staton and I'm raising with a whole heap of Stang product...Linda Jones, Whatnauts, Moments, and the rarer ones. dean
  20. Can I add J. R. Bailey, The Soul Children, Larry Saunders, and Randy Brown? dean
  21. 'Brains' I think is a guy called Mike? Used to come into Expansions every Saturday and never bought a single record and, trust me, everything was for sale including my shoe laces. Record dealing is great, easy, possibly on occasion fun...until human beings get involved. dean
  22. Tent music coined during a giddy conversation with Steve Conner when the third crossover room at Togetherness in Fleetwood was in a tent..Quality banter that took on a greater importance...or not dean
  23. I've played serious sport, and worked in professional kitchens, and DJ'ed to 2000 people....You have to look down the barrel and try not to shake! Hacie, Northern, Moss Side, even Yorkshire... do your best and believe in your records because they are more important than you.If your any good you'll carrry on. dean,
  24. I sold a mint Stan Ivory 12 to a cunning chap [and good luck to him] the week John Manship put it on auction. for £35,..which is right for a perfect copy.Is it my ears but did the Jock Mitchell [which I did bid for] soundclip have a classic styrine rewind burn at the start? I'll happily pay £300 for a mint one if anyone has one but I doubt that will happen now. As for general prices going up you do have to factor in that £10 in the 70's is a £100 now. dean
  25. Don't know about overseas scenes as such but back in the 80's soul collecting/buying seemed restricted to the UK and Japan with a few occasional Europeans. Now it is literally all over the world...The list of countries gets longer and longer. Also sending records made in LA back to LA is pretty strange! dean
