  4. Hi NSTOMP97 Dont normally post on a venue i didnt attend ,,, and nothing to do with the event really,,, But you name me a DJ that hasnt played a boot/pressing at sometime when they were young etc I too applaud ya passion bro ,,,as ya get older and with more money you will have have the real thing a plenty The scene need more young up and coming DJs with passion like you Despite what people think/say its not easy DJing and to string a good set together is part of the skill Well done bro knockem dead!! Nige B
  5. Yeah mate,,,, ALWAYS be suspicious of White Demos on this ,,,, they look great!! BUT,,,, theres something about the NEW YORK on the label not being right,,, also things missing in the Deadwax too,,, if somehas a JM Bootlleg guide it should be in there somewhere!! Il say one thing this seller on EBay has done the correct thing and clearly states its a 2nd issue/ boot which fair play in my book!!! But people should ALWAYS read the smaller discripition underneath the main heady its easy to be caught out ,,, as i found to my peril a few times!! N x
  6. I used to know a guy on KTF called Steve Martin and he was very much into it , he loved lots of General Johnson , Chairmen of the Board stuff. Sounds a bit of a Comedian to me Carms!
  7. Not a Boot leg / Pressing but ORIGINALS Ive never heard a good Like One Jean Carter,,, i have both Demo & Issue both are sub standard to my ears!! N x
  8. If you check post No 3 Above,,, This has already been posted!!!
  9. I think Carms knows about the Niter,,and she WILL be there somehow
  10. Im sure you are an honerable bloke Craig,,,,,, Maybe you should have made it clear in your sales post that you were going away and anyone who sends you money may have to wait for the records owed to them untill you got back! To just go away and not inform your buyer isnt really good is it?? To pass it off as running behind is a bit rich imo ,,, but hey ho mayby it isnt Nige
  11. Wasnt just me then,,,, heavy weekend
  12. Dont forget the Music Shop Shewins ( i think it were called that) it stood were the doors are now as you walked into the Potteries Centre in the main square " up Hanley duck" ,,,,, thats were Minshull found the UK Hickory Demo of Babrbara Mills Queen of Fools ,,, in a basket full of 2 shilling records!!!! Again people take the piss nowdays ,,,but that was a hell of a find back then,,, and he made it a Torch all nighter Anthem not long after!!
  13. We used go the Penny Farthing 1970-71 ,,, We used to go up there in an old Morris Minor Traveler,,, it was above Hanley Bus station and was reputed to be financed with money from the Krays !!! They played the motown and stuff wasnt really a Soul venue,,, lovely women in there though!! On Saturdays also at the Bus Station there was a row of shops,,, they may still be there,,,one of the shops sold records US IMPORTS,,, nothing major but Sold Ric Tics , Golden Worlds, Okehs plus all the UK stuff etc,,, where they came from i dont know ,,, as young lads we were in our element,,, N x
  14. Totally agree and wish every luck with your sale I think its only its Rarity that possibly held it back ,, all it needs is a few more mainsteam DJs behind it i guess Its good to see something i heard so long ago coming to the front!!
  15. Now thats what i call seizing the moment,,,
  16. Nev You cant really say Skiing In The Snow was a Youth Club record bro,,,,, like i said it was nye on IMPOSSIBLE to find a copy in its day and later it was played at the Cats , Torch & Wigan so the All Niter thing is out of the Window too!! Like i said people honestly travelled to hear it played out!! I wish my youth club had a copy in 1969-70 when i was at school lol So easy to slate its true rarity 40 years on Nige
  17. I think the Bo Ro is the one to aim for Grant ,,,, my price estimate as i said was ball park .... also condition plays a part dont it,,,, You dont see many MINTERS of anyting these days do ya!! But if ya can get Daves price,,,, Fandabydozy ......Result!!
  18. I first heard this record at Stafford Yeoman Soul nights in 1971,,, the DJ who owned it was a guy called Dave Lowe and with his DJ partner Barry Morgan,,, they had some of the hottest singles around at the time and both where Wheel Boys! Its probably laughable to some now but people used to travel all over , as they found out Dave had a copy of the Invitations The Yeoman was playing EVERTHING that the Wheel was playing , we were very lucky to have then two guys in Stafford It was Pre " Northern Soul" and no pressings/boot legs ,,, that was lust about to start,,, Jeff King came to the Yeoman eventually and sold his Soul Sounds from a small van on the car park,,, we loved it at the time!!! As crass as the record is thought of now it has always been favoured by collectors and went for big money in its day I think thats what you have to put into prespective here,,, people now have a lot more knowledge these days and access to Rare records ,,, back in the day WE did not have much of either!! This record is of its time,,, Not evey ones taste!! Get over it
  19. Iam now closing this thread as the Record in question has now ended its auction on EBay , and like it said originally it would be intersting and it CERTAINLY has been!1 Any more comments would take it off topic really and the Gvnr Andy Dyson & Dave Thorley have really has told all we now need know Special thanks to them and everyone who contributed! Nige Heres to the next rareity for sale /auction

  21. Pete i really didnt mean you at all mate,,,, I really think youve took Nev wrong too mate,,, but were goin off at a tangent now,,, this thread is about Grey Imprint innit!! I think Dave T posted this demo take up before a coupla months ago,,,,, i love that too and i really find all the info about the band facinating!! Ended £550 rare Soul 45 GREY IMPRINT on CLEAR HILL Hear! craigmoerer | 102418 | 99.9% 16 US $874.21
  22. Yeah,,i meant the thread to be discussed from a record collectors point of view ,,, not the usual acid tongued opinion how good it is,,, that is personal choice surely!
  23. Have to say Carms and i heard it thru Shifty before we heard Butch playing it, I remember Carms really raving on about it at the time,, I just love it when these Strange Rare records go through normal Sales chanels like EBay Thanks for replying Chalks
