I would love to be able to mix properly !...........unfortunately I wouldnt know where to start & too embarrassed to find out..........on the occasions when i play soulful house, i tend to cue in to the meat of the tune & fade out early, a lot of intros & outros on these records are DJ tools specifically for mixing purposes, so as i cant do it & i'm not really into records that stray over 4 - 5 mins, this seems to work ok for me........BTW a bit of relevant gobbing off over intros & outros aint a bad thing methinks ?. I was very lucky whilst living in Va Beach, i found three issues, all together...........initially i left em behind as i had a mental block & thinking they were reissues, soon as i got home realised my gaff & went back the next day & bought all three for less than $10...........found Darrell Banks ITOWLY in the same store, but OMG what a horrible traul, i swear they were in the middle of thousands of 8ts chart records...........nearly called it a day several times, but struggled on......just goes to show you. Sold all three, as its a record that was more of its time to me personally........... Russ

Mr Washington you are a legend & both IDLTL & MP reached almost mythical status on the NS scene...........shrouded in mystery & drenched in soul, we are truly honoured to finally make your aquaintence, i would very much like to know if you would consider if approached visiting our fair land to bless us with a live show..............i think you would be truly shocked at the reception you would receive, these discs are legendary & part of the sound track to our soulful lives, more than a few tears would be shed on such a memorable night if it ever came to be...........thanks for the soul Rev !!! There are quite a few records that can get me all emotional........but Candy Staton - Too Hurt to Cry, has a special place, it was the last record i played as a DJ before we moved over to the US for a few years, to see all those people swaying, hands in the air, & Jenny my wife & all our friends crying together, but with smiles on their faces was a pretty emotional moment............ There aint any Mark..........we're still out there & on the whole speaking for myself still collecting, dancing & when asked DJing soulful dance music from across the decades.........i am into NS always have been, always will be, but to me it emcompasses far more than 6ts, it always has.......i dance, collect & DJ 6ts thru to tomorrow, if its got the Xfactor then its got me !!!. Top soundfile BTW, takes me back to a far simpler time........were if it was good ya danced, regardless . I want a Nighter that mixes the whole lot up in one room again pse . Russ

I hadnt heard this for an age until recently & it was programmed into quite a funky NS set...........WOW........it really hit the mark for again, cant remember it having quite that impact on me first time round.......great choices btw.
