  1. Thought Of Losing Your Love - Lamp Gotta Have Love - Lamp Nice clean copies required pse. Best Russ
  2. Does anyone know anything about this record pse - has it had plays, availability, price etc............ Many thanks Russ
  3. Would much prefer the high quality legitimate release to a boot for sure............. Russ
  4. I think so...............https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgPLc4XB4vw Russ
  5. Flanny had one for sale a while back for a good price, not sure if he still has it but worth a punt, he's on here mate.............bloody great record BTW. Gonna miss ya at the 100 Club, as I work abroad at the mo, but gutted as I know you'll tear the f*cker up..........good luck. Russ
  6. Bill Samson is a bloody great record, believe ya championed this Chalky & quite rightly so.......will have its day methinks, someone buy it (hi Shute). Russ
  7. Yep, 100% right........see more WD than stockers, JM used to have stock ?, great version that I played at the Uptown Down South do's & else where to critical aclaim many years ago..............great record IMO. Good luck Russ
  8. Originally a 'Shifty' play.........uncredited acetate & it was me that came up with the c/up name when Al played it down the phone to me when he first got it.........so you can blame me if its a crap 'name'. As stated previously now residing with the Butchmeister. Best Russ
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but this 'Carver' was part of some one elses collection, that as a favour the seller was selling on thier behalf, along with a load of other bits. If this had been done specifically to deceive or purely for profit then I would be a bit more vocal as to the morals, but from what I can gather the seller is as suprised as anyone as to the end price ?. I appreciate that a 'bootleg' is a 'bootleg' regardless & maybe the seller should have been more aware of what they were doing, but I dont think there was any 'intent' what so ever. Russ
  10. Whilst I think eventually this would be a fine idea, it hasnt reached any where near its full potential yet.......I know, I know........Andy, Butch etc have played it for years, but lets give people a chance to catch up before its re - released, they'll be other collectors, dealers, DJ's hot on the trail, so a few fresh copies wouldnt go amiss before its killed as a 'play' record. Also anyone with a a 'spare', I'd sell a kidney for one in any playable condition . Best Russ
  11. Hello mate Not certain by any means, but thought that the acetate was uncredited & I always assumed unreleased ?. Russ
  12. Ok mate, just spoke to Allen...........he sold it to Carl F, not sure what happened to it after that, but from what you say can only assume Butch has it now ? & yes, it was an uncredited acetate, so the Patti Austin title is for play purposes. Best Russ
  13. Think Butch got it when Shifty sold a few, I'll check & get back to ya. Russ
  14. I stand corrected guys, altho Shifty ended up with the PA Acetate. Russ
  15. Sounds like Shifty, maybe a little too early for him tho', altho he did end up with the Patti Austin, think Dean Anderson owned it before Shifty (?) so maybe Dean...........& Juan Williams was not a cover up..........played by Ady at the 100 Club occasionally years before it got real recognition. As an aside, the PA was an acetate & wasnt credited, so might not be her anyway, if my memory serves me right ?. Best Russ
  16. Yep, thats me...........can I get a copy please............BTW I trust my judgement, but you have to understand back then at the 100 Club these were risky plays & not well known at the time. Best Russ
  17. That sounds like it could have been moi................... Russ
  18. Yep, pretty much right Keith, but covered as DR but was actually BM. Russ
  19. Do not feckin' do it my friend..............this is the sound track to your life, if you dinna wanna part with em DONT I would rather sell the wife than the records..............put ya foot down man & when she kicks off, get ya sen to a Nighter & buy some more !!! Good luck, but only if you wanna sell em & BTW what feckin age is that !!!............cos I'm sh*ttin' myself now. Russ
  20. You gotta love Marcelle......... very nicely put too,,,,,,,,,,,guy got away lightly methinks. Russ
  21. That makes me feel a bit better Perry, hope your well mate, PM me if you got any nice bits for sale . ATB Russ
  22. Back in the day it must have been like shooting fish in a barrel, all you needed was a good ear really & the venue to expose them to the masses.........these days everyone is a potential DJ & the tunes arnt out there like they were, thats not to say there arnt any good records left, i think there are, but my god you have to bloody work hard at it & have some serious contacts to even find half decent things, if you wanna be even a teeny bit original.............& the top guys always get first dibs if the bigger dealers get wind of anything, it will have been turned down by all of em if it by chance gets offered to you. Your thoughts guys............. Russ
  23. It would be a pleasure buddy...........speak soon Thank you Russ
  24. As you know Simon, its not always about how much money you have, I was thinking more along the lines of the stories I heard about John Andersons Barn & the trips people would have to there & the sheer choice of tunes just waiting to be found for reasonable prices........never ever went, would get the lists, but with hind sight would dearly have loved to have visited............. Best Russ
