  1. Brilliant - whats the crack with the 2 label designs anyone ?. Best Russ
  2. Thank you Pete.........unfortunately missed the window of opportunity tho as I was at work.......never mind, thanks anyway . Best Russ
  3. FANTASTIC..........I did not know this version & its truly brilliant - that has made my day !!! Russ
  4. Woa boy.........I agree with everything everyone has said about BOS........all I'm saying is I feel a bit sorry for those that have long standing events that now clash, I'm not diagreeing with you....so keep ya knickers on lol Russ
  5. He recorded as 'Jeffree' too (spelling), Expansion put one of the LP's out, albeit a while after the US release. Look out for Greg Perry too... Best Russ
  6. I feel for the promoters, they could have paid deposits, risk losing the good favour of the owners of the venue, the DJ's could have been working else where & so on.......without a doubt BOS spot on & gonna be a fantastic event, but surely you cant expect people to cancel regular nights & possibly lose money & custom......?. Best Russ
  7. At the time he was talking about taking the brothers on the road, also re recording 'One For The Road' as a group, he had his own studio at the time, it never came to anything.....mind you any promoter even now would have an amazing show on thier hands if they could get that show to the UK, especially with the stuff they wrote too...I'm thinking Jackie Wilson amongst others..
  8. The Perry brothers were all writers, singers & in the business - When Jeff Perry appeared 'live' at the 'Uptown Down South' Allnighter that I used to promote in Newbury he was fantastic, he was promoting his latest CD & doing the vintage stuff too....& he was bang on the money. Best Russ
  9. Wigan - middle LH side looking at the stage, maybe slightly forward of that. In M's used to dance on the balcony on one of those pieces of hardboard, thats were I would perfect my moves !. Next day at Top of the World or Lacarno, would spend nearly all day just on the edge of the dancefloor waiting for the breaks to practice spins for WC the next week - seemed important at the time LOL. I did hear that rumour about best at the front & Sparky & Winston always seemed to be round about there - never thought to check it & no one ever told me were not to dance.... Best Russ
  10. Mike, I would be very interested as to what YOU consider to be exceptable. I know & like you, but you know exactly what is exceptable & your just being pedantic. There is a whole load of difference between a DJ with a box of boots n carvers & a DJ say with FB on Fairmount as opposed to Rouser & a couple of carvers of previously unissued tracks. I'm not sure why you feel it has to be spelt out to the letter, unless of course you wanna catch someone out for some reason ???. If no one has realised yet, Soulontop is a clown just playing games, ignore the fool - I have it on very good authority exactly what his criteria is. Best Russ
  11. Didnt want to hide behind any Psudenym.......plain n simple, you know exactly WHO i am. Best Russ
  12. Its another one like Randy Brown - Always in the Mood.......played as new releases, but have been hammered again in recent years. Great record, but in dour need of a rest please. Best Russ
  13. Serious question - what is the difference between a re edit & a re mix ???. Best Russ
  14. Thats nice, everyone happy, I'm glad my perception was on the mark. 'Moores' waddaya doin on the 'dark side', get back were ya belong . Best Russ
  15. I didnt say YOU did, I was making a general statement about the 45 so the original poster, has some real idea, to base the buying decision on. Russ
  16. There ya go............hoofin dancer !!!
  17. Yeah, theres some killas & the ballads are cool too, cant remember the brilliant LP only play track from 'Welcome To My Room' well worthy of needle time too. Russ
  18. If you can wait a week, you can have my reissue LP for £10...... Russ
  19. Who ever offered you 'a lot more' is either lazy or demented, it aint rare...... Russ £10 quid is the true value.....anything else is, like you say down to demand......buy the LP to get ya fix, then get the 45 cheap when the nutters stop paying thru the teeth........ Russ
  20. Who ever offered you 'a lot more' is either lazy or demented, it aint rare...... Russ
  21. Its been played on the Northern Scene since release too......lovely record, but been thrashed to death. £20 - £25 is pushing it, but I understand the 'demand' thing, trouble is it isnt & never has been rare. Buy the fantastic LP as suggested & get to know Randy a little more & at the same time you'll get a couple of other lovely 'play' tracks too........good luck !. Best Russ
