I think the drummer lived in VA Beach near to where i used to live, got to know the guys that ran the L Rev label out of Norfolk & they intimated the drummer lived near to me, never did get hooked up tho'. An all white college band if I remember correctly. IH also got booted for the beach scene, with something else on t'other side, cant remember now. Best Russ

'Inventory on Heartaches' was known on the beach scene yes. 'One & Only Girl' was played a long time after IH was known on the NS Scene, I guess Saus was playing this 15 odd years ago, presumeably RM was playing it sometime before that ?. Tony ?. Best Russ

The first version played was from SS wasnt it ?.....Dave Mcaleer heard it, realised they owned the Roulette back catalogue & recorded the version that was released. Is that right ?.........anyhoo, love it or hate it, it must be one, if not the first example of someone remixing a record for the dancefloor ?. Mr SS certainly was ahead of his time. Best Russ

I only attended 3 Nighters there as I was living in the US back then (was it really that long ago !), one Lifeline, one Chris King was at & another i cant really recall........always an adventue travelling up from the South Coast. Best Russ

'My One & Only Girl' was Saus's Eddie & Ernie cover up from some years ago, top side was Searling......both good sides IMHO & deserve some needle time again. Best Russ

Thats fine, so long as the venue has a CD player, in this day & age they should also have mp3 player too......unfortunately very few venues have either in thier old fashioned or misconceived interpretations of OVO. I dont want to have to carve unissued CD cuts to be honest, but depending on the venue it might be the only way you can play the track. Best Russ

Yes I know mate, it wasnt aimed specifically at you Chalkie, I also appreciate that there are other venues, Radcliffe is one of my fave Nighters for example, it was more a general comment aimed at folk that sit at home, never go any where & trawl playlists, then comment without ever having experienced the Night in the flesh so to speak, whilst I appreciate some people may have very good reasons for not being able to get out, some do need to get off the sofa & get a more personal view from the dance floor as opposed to the sofa/keyboard. I think this 100 Club in particular is something that should be experienced first hand....... Russ

Rather than waiting for playlists, folk should get down there & judge for themselves 'live'......its what we used to do innit, travel to hear the tunes ?.....dont forget Ady is still playing the relatively newly discovered second batch of RCA unissued sides too.....plus, the 100 Club is the only Nighter left that generates its own oldies, most a lot of folk have never heard outside the 100 Club....... Well the 100 Club has never failed to deliver one way or another for over 30 years, thats why its still the number one Allnighter in the world, despite the claims of others.......you cant buy class. Russ

I understand Pete, only half serious, just very interested to know what Ian is going to drop at the world famous 100 Club Allnighter......you would think he will have some pretty serious kit in the box, especially as he is playing along side the un retired Butch. Russ
