  5. Outside of London, is there enough support in the south of England for a reasonably forward thinking Allnight venue, say on a two monthly basis ???. Would the Southerners on the forum support such a venue ???, what would be the preferred music policy ????. Would a more intimate but upfront venue be better or would you prefer a larger venue, but compromise the music policy slightly to fill it ????. Would the Southampton area be reasonably accesible for most ???. Do you think there are enough Nighters & Soul Nights already without filling the calendar up even more or is more choice better for the scene ???. Answers on the back of a fag packet . Russ
  6. Hey Johnny I fly back to blighty on Thursday 23 August, I figure that I'll have to do a bit of sorting out & settling in, sooooooooooo see ya on the Friday some where . Hope your well my friend & I'll be seeing ya real soon. Russ
  7. If you had to make the choice between never attending another AllNighter or Soul Night again but you could have any original soul records that you wanted for your collection to listen to alone in your own home, what would you do.................whilst I love the music, a lot of the enjoyment is sharing it with other like minded people & showing our appreciation thru dance, in great atmospheric venues, so whilst I think it would be an extremely difficult choice to make I would have to vote scene. Wadayathink.............home alone with all that vinyl or out enjoying it at great venues with like minded folk ???. Russ

  11. Hey Sean Little Rueben has been in & out of my play box for years, great tune IMO I have played it at many NS nights including the 100 Club & more recently the Hitsville Weekender, alway's seems to get a reaction, if only from the chin strokers as opposed to the dancefloor. Russ

  20. Label looks like it has been cut out with scissors ??? Russ
  21. I personally hope that they get publicly flogged...........everyone to do with this label are still out there, the ownwer of the label still in the business, I truly hope that they see this & rape the fckers for everything, I paid a lot of money for this record & if anyone had the audacity to play the boot the set before me I would honestly break it in half right there. I really am getting seriously pissed off with the attitude that its alright for DJ's to play bootlegs, well it isnt, wasnt & never will be, if you cant afford the records dont bother, thats why its called rare soul for gods sake. There are plenty of cheaper records out there for innovative DJ's who have some imagination. I dont always have that kinda money for records, occasionally I get lucky & move stuff around & hey I invest in one of my 'wants', but usually like most of us Im living by my wits & working very hard to find records. Russ
  22. Top bloke....but quite overwhelming when your there, you need to get well organised or it just gets all too much. Russ
  23. Thank you Mart Russ
