  4. This came to my attention via Dave Abbott, who put it onto a CD which he sent to me in the US, Harvey Averne 'Never Learned To Dance' precedes this perfectly in a set, great tune & with regards to price I have seen this recently for upwards of 70 & it sold pronto !!!!!. Best Russ

  8. Hi I have a VG copy of: Embers - Watch Out Girl - MGM ISSUE 100 UKP Monster sound in its day & very hard to obtain on an ISSUE. The labels & disc look fine, some small scratches, but looks ok, still glossy, no nightmares............ there are some clicks & pops, BUT its at least a VG grade, this is reasonably conservative, but I dont want to mislead anyone. The disc would be fine for DJing or until a better copy comes along...........Im sure most would be happy with this disc in the condition described & most would be pleasantly suprised, anyway if your not happy money back guaranteed, no questions asked if returned within a week. Less than half normal price of a M- copy. No trades cash/cheque/paypal no fees & I'll cover first class postage in the UK. PM Me if interested. Russ
  9. All great versions BTW but James Phelps is without doubt 'the' best version..............no contest what so ever IMHO. Russ

  17. I like the WD 45 disco edit on TEC...........quite spooky as I was only listening to this last week & thinking how amazing it still is, I prefer the disco edit personally, just adds a little oomph...........& It sounds so contemporary, could have been released last week. Fine choon. Russ
  18. In my defence, this was a particularly long journey & I needed to drink a serious amount of vodka as my boredom thresh hold is pretty low, as entertaining as you are Steve, I needed to make my own entertainment, which maybe we shouldnt go into, but anyone being sprayed with a dubious liquid whilst on the M1 last Friday...............it wasnt me it was the others................honest . Russ
  19. Sh*t the bed...........that was hoofin'..............any advance pressings, cos I need one quick....gimme gimme gimme Pleeeeeeaaaaassseeeee. Grovelling Russ
  20. I agree, would much rather start at midnight till 7 - 8 & have it kick ass till dawn..........trouble is a lot of venues want the bar revenue, personally a bar isnt the main attraction for me at a Nighter & I very rarely drink at Nighters IMHO the two dont really mix................soul night alcahol, Allnighter adrenalin..............also like someone mentioned a few weeks ago, we would usually stop at a soul night en route to a nighter, sometimes this would be why the soul night was successful, cos it was located nearby or on the way..............I would love to see a Nighter that was condensed into 6 - 8 full on hours of soulful dance, no warm ups, just straight into the main attraction............wooooooooooooooooooooooooooossssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh & leave you shocked, stunned & reeling from the hit & begging for more............. Russ
  21. Two releases of this, the first with drawn because of wrong credits, very difficult to tell apart unless you have the two together. Good luck. Russ
  22. Not continual abuse from you Pete, I meant generally from some towards anyone who supports anything other than WC & its legacy of music.......looking back, 'continual abuse' is probably being over the top, so I apologise for a poor choice of words, but you get my meaning........I have gone on record many times regarding WC it was great, probably my fave venue of all time, I am not slagging WC off, I am just saying that I find it quite strange that people who at the time of the Casino were obviously, at least to some extent, were supportive of a forward thinking scene, I know Im not allowed to say things like 'upfront' or 'progessive' because apparently that offends some people, if some one can please give me a better word or phrase to use I'll be grateful, but that was what the scene was then pretty much, so why cant people be similarly supportive now ?????, I respect anybodies opinion to go where they want & to listen to what they want, but its beyond me why anyone would want to continually relive there youth..........I havnt put this very well, to be honest & Im now losing interest, so I'll be off .............very sorry to hear of your GF loss Pete. Russ
