  7. Its been around for a couple of years, you can get them off the Daptone website & at the live gigs, they look like a test press or summat, but there's as many as a normal release as far as I can see.............brilliant version, but she doesnt do it live, I asked her to do it in Richmond VA, but she wouldnt.............pity. Russ

  11. Great record.................... at a great price Des. Russ
  12. Hello Dave Hope you are well mate.............this has been in my top five for years now, must be at the very least 5-6 years that Butch has been playing it. At the 100 Club, this has nearly reduced me to tears on occasions, such passion, Tommy Tate the legend, resounding around that hallowed ground, with the faithful in full swing & fine voice OMG it doesnt get much better.............Dave, Knowing what fine taste you have, I think if you heard the full unclipped version in context you would die mate............will we be seeing you in Spain BTW................I do hope so ...........Sun, Sangria & Soul my friend & together with the fine company, a heady cocktail. Russ
  13. ..............nuff said. Russ

  17. I would guess at about £75 ish..............but others may have a more up to date price............I've had the chance of the RS a couple of times, but Im sticking with AJA. Hope this helps a little mate. Russ
  18. Everyone to thier own & all that, but I suggest you have your ears syringed..................feckin' awesome !!!.........one of the best EVER IMO...........present company excepted, but some people just slag of rare records, whether they are any good or not, smacks of jealousy to me & sour grapes, while ever tunes like this are getting play's & the likes of Butch el al are searching em out I'll be on a dance floor near you...........bland...........give me a break. Russ
  19. Im with holding an opinion until I have heard it at a Nighter...............deffo not a disc I would enjoy at home, but at a Nighter I think it might sound ok. Russ
  20. Just getting spins from moi too. Great record IMHO. Russ
  21. I personally would not have alcahol at Nighters, certainly not after 2am, there's only one fuel for a Nighter. Like it or not its the truth. Each to thier own, but the better the gear the better the atmosphere & the better the floor shifts, not saying I agree, just an observation. Russ
  22. I kinda agree with James on this........there have always been 'Hotbox' DJ's forever........I even knew what you might class as 'Hotbox' collectors, we had several people down here a few years back, that never DJ'd, but you look in thier little 25 count box & whoa......holy guacamole, some dream 'must have' up to the minuit tunes........but thats all they had, a lot was about the chase I think. Im on my third collection at the moment, I have sold two others over the years & I remember a few years ago laughingly saying to someone, I must be a collector now, as I have more records than will fit into my DJ box ........These day's, unless you are very fortunate, if you wanna have serious impact as a DJ & be a contender, raising the funds for 'new' sounds can be impossible unless you sell something else on, I do my best not to do this, but sometimes personal circumstances & lack of dosh means I have to shift the odd thing, hate doing it, but hey I need to keep my appetite for new stuff satisfied too. Just my opinion. Russ
  23. Fair one mate.......... . Russ
  24. Save ya self some dosh & buy the superior Lay Jay Aleander . Russ
  25. For some reason I have a real soft spot for Disco Connection.............& every now & again drag it out & give a spin at home. Russ
