  1. You're right, they've also removed the date stamp
  2. No, they are all spelt incorrectly
  3. The label used on that video looks like the most recent bootleg with the date stamp removed. The text is much smaller than the original/brown vinyl counterfeit. Weird (est)! That's not to say the audio is from the label shown. I can't play mine to compare as The Enemy has covered my decks in sewing stuff while we're decorating Don't have deep enough pockets to own an original so no idea what intro that plays...
  4. So is the brown vinyl counterfeit copy from the 70's? I have both. The lookey-likey counterfeit, brown vinyl, identical labels to the original. The date stamped copy is black vinyl.
  5. Think that came out early 2000's and is easily to tell from the original, the other boot from the 90's is a lookey-likey copy and the only way to tell is to hold up to a bright light and the vinyl is translucent dark brown
  6. I understood the dark brown one was a 70's boot circa 1979?
  7. You don't have to sign up. It's a public post. I'm not on Facebook but can view Facebook posts

  15. You can filter the items after searching to show 'sold' items only, only goes back 6 months though I think
  16. Surely he transfers his one-off acetates to vinyl format though? Acetates have a limited playback, after 25 plays the lacquer could be down to bare metal and the music lost forever?

  18. According to Discogs its a 1980s unofficial oldies reissue label from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
  19. I don't know, as LP's came first I assumed they just carried on with the same runout stamp for 45's?
  20. 'Long' Play False Back. The flip side of these test "White Label - Not For Sale" - pieces of vinyl have a test tone that plays continually
  21. Let's hope we see this legal reissue played at venues
  22. No, it isn't cultural appropriation. You might want to check the definition of it. That analogy is incorrect. The black and white minstrels or white people sporting dreads, yes. White people listening to or playing black music, no. That's cultural appreciation.
  23. Could it be that there were hardly any sales because of low press runs? Not exclusively, admittedly. When the scene throws around terms like 'discovered by' or 'first played by' it reeks to me of DJ ego and is frankly nonsense as they were neither discovered by or first played by us Brits and it could be argued is disrespectful to the original artists and producers who created the music in the first place. Rediscovered yes, discovered no.
  24. "Those recordings were not wanted by the people they recorded them for." Really? Of course they were wanted, there was clearly a demand and sales, just a combination of small pressing runs, poor resources, funding and promotion. Let's face it the NS scene also 'appropriates' from other genres that's not a criticism just a factual observation.
  25. He's also selling a legit John & The Weirdest which ends tonight https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335199625870?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ZQ5z446yTgO&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=RbQp7EHTSKy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
