    This month we welcome our friend Moz as our main guest DJ. Bringing some of the Northern Line magic to the Rec. Moz has guested for Cheshire Soul Club, must be at least 15 years now. At The Rec, The Morg & The Moulton Verdin & always played a great set. Please get there if you can. Guesting early doors, double decking this month is our regulars Eddie Worthington & Gregg Osbourne, get here early & give these two lads some support, you will be pleasantly surprised with there set. Helping out this month is my friend Bob Anderson & myself will be filling in as required. No Roger this month (he will be back for December) so we can play what we like, when we like Remember everyone is welcome x KTF

    I've not had the opportunity visit this venue for sometime, but last night did not dissapoint. Was welcomed at the door by big wide smiles from the two ladies on the door. Even the promoter was at the door welcoming guests with a smile & a warm handshake. It took a while for my eyes to adjust as its old school, dark room ambience. The tunes where banging out & the floor was busy. Top tunes & niter rareaties where the order of the day. It was nice to have a few uptempo tracks on the trot, I must admit it got me right in the zone. If you like uptempo Northern & Motown with a mix of classic & rare soul, with a massive maple dancefloor then this is the venue for you. Thank you to all involved. I will be back!

    Looking forward to another great night out at this club. Not been for a while, but it must be one of the friendliest clubs in the country. I expect to hear classic tunes banging out of them speakers so I can make some shapes on that great dancefloor.

    Another great night, memories made. A big thanks to our guest Kevin Jones for making the trip & sharing his records with us, you read our dancefloor & played a brilliant set. John Mitchell did a great early set, thankyou for making the journey over from Manchester. You have left a lasting impression, the times I was asked your name & where you came from. All you that travelled thank you for making the effort. Everyone who turned up on the night, you make it what it is & with out you it would never happen, a big thankyou from Roger Conneely & myself. Let's do it all again next month.

    As the 2nd Saturday of the month quickly approaches, I would like to tell you about this month's Soul at The Rec. Our special guest this Saturday evening is our friend Kev Jones making the journey from Wales to share his tunes with us. Kev has been guesting at various Cheshire Soul Club venues for almost 20years now (where has that time gone). He is almost family, not just a guest. Our early doors guest is John Mitchell a regular visitor to The Rec & travelling over from Manchester to join us, John has a great collection of 45s to start the night right with. Filling in the gaps & spinning the tunes you love, as always Roger Conneely & myself. Remember everyone is welcome & we look forward to seeing you.

    A big thanks to everyone who turned out for Cheshire Soul Clubs Sunday Soul Session yesterday. All the DJs played there sox off & made it another memorable afternoon, I can't thank them enough. We can't wait for next month when we can do it all again. Remember everyone is welcome.

    Hi, our Sunday Soul Sessions are going really well. Our initial idea is looking at inviting DJs that don't get regular spots anywhere but have a collection & can knock a one hour set together approx 24 - 25 tracks, it must be all vinyl. If you think you can entertain the room & this is something your interested in & agree with what we are trying to achieve please come down & introduce yourself & we will do our best to offer you a spot.     GREAT NEWS ............ Cheshire Soul Clubs annual Charity Night in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, with your help raised an eye watering £920 Well done to everyone.

    I have been asked if our soul night is going ahead at this sad time. The answer is a respectful yes. The Queen would not want to disrupt a charity event for such a worthy cause. With all due respect & deepest condolences Cheshire Soul Club will be holding a minute's silence on the night.

    Promises of raffle prizes now trickling in, The Rec management have donated the room hire fee. All the DJs are performing for free & we thank everyone involved. With your support we should make a tidy sum which will be announced on the night & posted here Sunday. Above all let's have a great night.
