  4. I've always liked this early Stax recording https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2EYk4cFQwY
  5. There was some white label pressings of this made in the 90's credited to the Andantes but it's the same as the Velvelettes. Also done by the Supremes but not as good. Recorded in 1964.
  6. The first one is Troy Dodds - Count Of Love. Never heard of the other.
  7. I can't speak on Dade
  8. Not sure if this is readable. It's from a John Anderson interview i have scanned on an old laptop. John had a few hundred, Garry got 50, sold a few at £5 & £8 then most ended up in soul packs then Tim Brown got the last 7 or 8 @ £35 each. If you're reading, sorry Garry
  9. Sounds a bit like Doug Banks.
  10. One that stands out for me is Lanier 25 Hours, unfortunately i had to sell it a few months back. Other side of "Blinded by the qualities of you" one that rarely comes up for sale these days. SAX BREAK COMES IN AT 4:20 mins.
  11. Ace Spectrum - Without You - Atlantic
  12. The Smokey Robinson 45 is a lot better than the earlier yellow Motown issues. I bought about a dozen different ones and most were unplayed but sound rough. I'd say they are like some of the poor sounding Jamaican pressed 45s. I got some Capitol and A&M releases too and they are better than the Motown ones but still not perfect.
  13. I put these in the 'Releases from around the world' thread. Unfortunately they are poor grade vinyl, play terrible but look nice.
  14. Not released, but should of been. It's brilliant.
  15. It's Black Ivory - I keep asking you questions on Today records.
  16. I've got the 45 and it says on the label it's taken from the album, but i've never seen one and dont think it exists.

  20. There's a strange documentary on Youtube about the song-poem industry that tells you about Rodd Keith. They talk to his son and there's some pictures of him. Real name is Rodney Keith Eskelin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOqn-I5u1MY&feature=watch-now-button&wide=1 forward it to 31.38 minutes in. "Like the lord said" is one of the worst tracks i've ever heard played on the scene.
  21. You're right it was from a Cleveland Browns record. It's called "Dance Big C" by the Ray Jay Band. Not heard it since those days it was played. What i remember it was an instrumental with football commentary and whistles on it .
  22. Intruders - Love is like a baseball game ???
  23. The original album with "Do this world a favour" is on a late 70's Jamaican album. The one you mention is from the mid 90's. I don't know the current price but £150 sounds expensive, the highest i've seen it listed was around the £40 mark.
  24. All on here https://markbarrydiscographies.blogspot.com/2009/03/chess-golden-decade-series-of-vinyl-lps.html
  25. Chess Golden Decade 8 is the one with the unissued Bobby Womack tracks. "See Me Through" is great, maybe they are from when he was one of The Valentinos.
