  10. There's a version of this by Arnold 'Sugar' Hill which also has "I Can't Please You" on the other side. It's on Hawk records and has Jerhart (BMI) on the label.
  11. Tyrell Corporation are from Redcar, on the east coast just outside of Middlesbrough.
  12. Hello, Mike Charlton had a couple of copies he got from the label owner a long time ago but they have been sold. He still has a test pressing and he told me a couple of weeks ago that he would consider selling or trading. He's not on here but he'll be DJing at the Wilton on Saturday night if you want to speak to him.

  15. I've had two different label designs on the 12" but I've never seen a 7" of this. His other one on the label "Just What I Need" did get a 7" release.
  16. I remember travelling to Warrington Parr Hall the day after a Morcambe nighter, i think it was the first one and i seem to remember it was free admission. I'd guess it was around 1986.
  17. Yes i agree, a great record. The Fos-Glo label was started in 1976. Little Stanley the writer of Clinton Park had a few releases on the label and became their A&R man. It tells you who Clinton Park was written about in Stanley Lippitts biography here : https://www.stanleyandbianca.com/biostanley.php
  18. Clinton Park came out on Fos-Glo two years after it was released on Delite. Like the description on the video on Youtube and some sales i've seen it's often listed as 'Rare 1st Press' but this is not the case, after two years plus i'd class it as a legal reissue. Of course there's nothing wrong with wanting it on a certain label but if you want the original release it's the Delite issue.
  19. Syl Johnson - I Resign / Send Me Some Lovin' - Twinight 107 - £90 SOLD Visually VG+ with a few surface marks that don't affect play at all, clean labels both sides. I've just upgraded to a Ex+ copy and this plays just the same. 20. Hello Steve, Somebody has the funky version up on Youtube with scans of the N.Y.C label and says it's the faster one but it doesn't have the time printed on the label. I've just noticed his scan is the same as the one shown on Discogs but has the time photoshopped off. Looks like some fool trying to pass off something that doesn't exist. I used to have copies of 'Sweet Hot Lips' on 12" but they had the same song on both sides.
  21. This is also on the other side of 'Sweet Hot Lips' isn't it. Should be a lot cheaper than 500 on the N.Y.C label. The singer is Lee McDonald.
  22. Nice version, cover of 'Follow Your Heart' by The Manhattans on Carnival.
  23. I like that, sounds just like something Eddie Hinton would do. Definitely soulful.
  24. Thanks for your reply John, a Tri-Centre South African release would be a nice way of owning it, Monument would be the logical label for it to get released there. I know he cut four songs for John Richbourg and was the writer on three of them. He also wrote "Let's Huddle Up And Cuddle Up" for Ann Sexton which was around 1973/4, which was also produced by Richbourg. I was wondering if he recorded his songs around this time but they didn't get released untill a couple of years later.
  25. The last record listed on a Seventy Seven Records discography is: Seventy Seven Records SV-908 — Bill Brantley — Grandaddy (Loves To Share) / It’s You Baby (1974) Did this actually come out on Seventy Seven Records ? I know it did get released a couple of years later on: Sound Stage 7 1519 — Bill Brantley — Grandaddy (Loves To Share) / It’s You Baby (You’re What Makes My World Go Round (1976)
