  1. Trouble is that some of ebays prices are not truly reflective of the field price as such (both ends of the scale) Still maintain the feeling of finding a decent item listed on ebay for its B side for $3 in the wrong section with a misspelt description is as good as unearthing one in a record fair etc...least you can let the smile on your face reach the corner of your ears when you win it.....or even shout out 'Yes you beauty' as loud as you want
  2. F*ckin' beauty C'mon Gash, how many variations of the spelling did you type in...
  3. Just won this off ebay for a decent price. https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=4729600677 Starting price was an unbelievable £2.50, no reserve, and no mention of Northern Soul in description. Still wonder how something like this ended up in hands of a U.K. seller who, by the signs of his other auctions does not deal in Northern, or is obviously aware of it's potential value. So in answer to your original question, I would have been a bit miffed if it went up for all to see on Soul Source......but such is life. In addition to this question, lets have a show of hands for ebayers who follow some of the useless early bidders around ebay to find bargains that they may have otherwise missed. I used to follow one called Chubbychops..till he discovered esnipe. I await your abusive wig related response Joe...
  4. Turn the p.c. off and spend all your weekend trawling through record boxes at soul nights, allnighters, record fairs and then get up at 5 a.m. to go to a car boot on sunday morning with a hangover in the drizzly rain to find one gem every 3 months. Then hear your mates tell you they won a £100 hidden gem on ebay on sunday afternoon for $3 whilst sitting having a beer........ Back to ebay within a month....if that long!
  5. ...but definately spellchecker...turn it on mate
  6. What we talking by....days, hours...

    Misery

Many, if not most of his records got played on the 80s Mod scene. Prices seemed to stay at £4 each for years on end. Great artist with a wealth of fantastic tunes to his name.
  9. Dave Evison did a night like this many years ago (I believe at The Cheshire Cheese in Nantwich) It was supposedly a great success, and was called KaraOkeh Night... He keeps mithering to try it again, but I'm staying well away from that one...

  19. Talking of stamps, has anyone seen the heat sensitive ones that reveal which of three pyramids contain an object when you rub your finger over them. Worth buying them for that alone.. Mind you, it seems fun at first, but as it is always the same pyramid it gets boring after a bit....
  20. ...but these are brand new coins you can get from the bank....
  21. Just noticed that the viewing on this item has gone from 6 this afternoon to over 130 (obviously due to this thread) Seller must be wondering whats going on, and hoping for a last minute rush of bidders...

  23. Bought one of a dodgy Belgian dealer...looked real but left it in my wallet and the bugger melted...turned out to be a chocolate one.... (This in no way implies that all Belgian coin dealers are dodgy before anyone has a pop....just their chocolate coins)
