  1. Anybody tried this? If so how good is it? https://cgi.ebay.com/RECORD-WRX-Scratch-Fix...1QQcmdZViewItem
  2. Great flip 'Boy next door' as well..................
  3. I was at a record fair in Southsea with Rob Messer and Dave Ingle many years ago. I was patiently making my way through a 150 box, whilst Rob raced through a similar sized box next to me, constantly checking what I was looking at as well. He reached the end of his box with no success, and leaned over to start looking through my box from the back as I was only half way through. I told him to wait - which he ignored, so next minute we were at each others throat. Whilst this was happening Dave Ingle strolled over and managed to pull a Timi Yuro from one of the boxes for £1 Not sure which box, but confident I never missed it....so it could well have been mine.......still blame Rob for that till this day.....
  4. CAR PARKING INFO Not got the problem of the fairground being set up on the carparking spaces opposite the venue entrance this time. There are also spaces in the side streets surrounding the venue. Although these are on parking meters they are free after 6.30 p.m. Saturday night until Monday morning but please check when you park just in case. There is a carwash with a large carpark just 100 yds past the venue on the opposite side of the road with no barriers and it doesn't open til 9.00 a.m. so this should be fine, but once again please check in case any new notices have been put up. At the traffic lights just below the venue, turn left (heading towards Smallthorne up Moorland Road) and there is another large car park about 500 yards down this road on your right (next to a pub that I think is called Ye Olde Smithy?) Regards, Mace.

  8. We are pleased to announce that Chalky will be joining our DJ lineup for the Queens Allnighter this Saturday. With Chalky joining Andy Dyson, Guy Hennigan, Roger Banks, Des Parker, Tot Johnson, Rob Messer, Karl Rhodes, Phil Ankers and myself, I am sure this will be a killer line-up providing a top quality mix of tunes in the main ballroom all night. The upstairs Princes Hall will be oldies and monster classics as advertised.
  9. Shute is deffo on my list no probs Mandy - like to have 3 local DJs each time so Tot, Phil Ankers and myself fill that gap this time. Nige Shaw is a Stafford lad of course, but spending most of his time in Weston, so was trying to cover that neck of the woods on this occassion Have a right nice replacement for Brett...will announce tomorrow.....
  10. Add Rob Messer to that there list matey....
  11. Could end up with a very interesting 'across the ward'...I mean 'across the board' CD here...... Hope the post office is not too far to hobble to post the Bobby Kline off mate......
  12. Perhaps we should all contribute relevant ideas for a Cd tracklisting for Marks benefit. I'll put forward 'Cracking up' and 'Footsee' Anymore folks......
  13. Hi Mark. Was this what you meant when you said you wanted a 'break' from DJing last year.................... Hope you get better soon mate, All the best, Mace.
  14. Think someone posted this a few weeks back, but as it's just landed in my inbox thought I'd pass it on. Email arrived entitled TKO NOTICE: A 24 Your eBay Bid was Cancelled !!! Upon opening message an item number is given with a link to reasons why bid was cancelled. Checked bid number, which was an ebay item, but nothing I would bid on. Obvious scam asking for signing in details, so please beware. Regards, Mace.
  15. Dazz ain't a dealer Ted...just bloody good at beating me to bargains (usually on ebay) hence me giving him a hard time when he owned up to getting it. Didn't know Dazz had got it, wasn't even sure it had been sold other than your second posting of list didn't have it on, so no intentions of upsetting anyone....just thought it was cheap! At the end of the day the record is only worth what some-one will pay, and if no one else had contacted you about the Billy Butler then you've sold for a price both you and buyer are happy with. Regards, Mace.
  16. Cheers mate... Now you won't forget will you.... Later.....
  17. Already got me own mate.. Mind you, if you're selling them at £30 each I'll take as many as you can get your hands on (sorry Ted....)
  18. Whilst on the subject of bargains Dazz...don't suppose you know who won the Willie & Mighty Magnificents 'Check it baby' for $26 in a lot of records the other day do you? It was listed as 'B' side, which I wasn't sure if was correct one, and didn't have time to find out till after the auction end, so I only bid low...
  19. Surprised you never drove over to pick it up at that price! Couldn't have gone to a nicer bloke though... The fact that it won't be staying at yours for long before being sold on for a handsome profit is besides the point
  20. Have you tried Roger Banks - he normally has stuff like this in stock. Incidentally just picked up a nice version of this by Marge Dobson on APT. Anyone know it?
  21. So who had a bargain with Billy Butler....£30.... At least £75 for an issue, and I know people who have paid £100. Is issue rarer than demo...or was this way too cheap?

  24. About 12 months ago, I had a beauty. After winning some item, I had an email from the seller asking me to pay by paypal. I paid immediately, but did not notice till a week later that the transacton had not completed. I emailed seller to ask why my funds had not been accepted by her acount, and she informed me that she was having problems with paypal, so could I pay via bidpay. It was late friday night, so I decided to pay next morning. So Saturday midday I send payment via bidpay, and just as I have confirmed payment details I realise that I have paid the wrong amount by $1 less than it should have been. I immediately emailed seller to inform her of my mistake, telling her that I would contact bidpay to enquire if I could change the amount. About 30 seconds after I send this email, I get and email from the seller ripping into me about underpayment and messing about blah blah blah. It was obvious that she had not yet read / received my email informing her of my mistake, and was firing off after receiving the bidpay confirmation. I start to write an email back to her, when another arrived from her in my inbox...she had obviously just got my first mail, and was replying full of apologies.... I replied, telling her that it was she who had originally messed me about with the paypal transaction, otherwise payment would have been sorted by now. I also told her it was midday in U.K. which meant it was 4 a.m. in U.S. and she should be in bed instead of sitting at her p.c. firing off abusive emails before getting the whole picture. More apologies came my way, and transaction completed fine after this... Ebay + paypal + bidpay + women.......it's a recipe for disaster..
  25. There was a U.S. programme called 'Las Vegas' (I think) about a casino on a few months back...they featured Charles Sheffield 'Voodoo working' on one of there episodes.
