  1. Thought you'd prefer the 'retro medium'. I'll send a reel to reel next time...
  2. Thought a Sunday Sport would be more your style?
  3. Mind you - there is a certain something about U.S. demos...check this baby out... https://cgi.ebay.com/Rubin-Youve-been-away-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  4. Now there's a great idea. All those who posted on here in favour about prefering ORIGINAL 60s U.S. demos above ORIGINAL 60s U.K. ones - would you step forward with any U.K. goods that you possess and offer them up for a straight swap for the U.S. equivalent...or would price and rarity prevent you from sticking to your principles... Made sure the words ORIGINAL 60s is big and bold so we don't get innudated with offers of Grapevine labels et al.............
  5. Oi Roger - have you nicked Jodies avatar???? Thought your Mace/Bidds one was much better... Back to thread - guarenteed floor packers....Tangeers 'Let my heart and soul...'
  6. Think it was MGM now you mention it
  7. I do believe you would.....
  8. ....CDs.........!!!!!!!! So you're at a carboot, and see an original U.K. copy of Timi Yuro......turn your nose up and bugger off to HMV to buy the CD. MY ARSE! Think that stint of wedding DJing has had a deep effect on you Dave! Don't see them as second issues, more as foreign issues (to the U.S. anyway)....and besides, your CDs of choice could be British pressed so how does that work... I also like to buy Canadian / Australian copies if they come up, and would rather have a Canadian to a U.S. Probably cus its slightly different - Chris Penn has a Canadian Linda Griner on yellow globes...lovely. So Dave...where do you stand on Canadian CDs.......!
  9. It's not now......
  10. High price.....but soooooo beautiful......how could this not sway the argument... https://cgi.ebay.com/THE-FOUR-TOPS-ASK-THE-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  11. There's never enough mate....never....
  12. Jodie - might not be the best idea to put your postal addy on here for all to see. Was going to say there may be a few 'oddballs' on here, but now I think about it, think 90% of the site is made up of these sorts I'll have one please Marc, and will resend you one in return if ya want Best way to sell any sort of unknowns.
  13. Got to add it is a pretty bad version IMO, and I have 'wide horizons'..... Birdie Green is the best one to get...even better if you get the one with 'Tremble' on flip. Tony Williams is nice too.
  14. He tried to sell it to me as a definate 'black version' (there was no player to hand)...but it went flying back in his direction when I got it home... (and that's something coming from me) Another 'Popcorn' skeleton from Nige's murky past... Full list of Nige's other dodgy vinyl moments will be on sale for £9.99 in the very near future... Let's put it this way...he didn't buy it off Keith Williams to sell on straight away.... Pretty sure it was on a major label like Liberty or Imperial?????
  15. You could always push the middles out of the U.K. promos to achieve the same effect. Would then turn the 'A' into an upside down 'V' of course so that would also sort the 'A' problem out!
  16. Nige Shaw (Heavenly Blocked) had one of these in his sales box a while back, but can't remember label. He may not want to admit to it though.... Think he bought it off Keith Williams if I remember correctly, so either may know more info.
  17. I have to admire your stubborness if not your taste....
  18. Gotta be U.K. demos / promos etc I've got a U.S. promo of Ray Pollard 'The Drifter' but would much prefer it on U.K demo....or even issue come to think of it. Just imagine finding 2 boxes of beauties...one full of U.K. demos and the other full of equivalent title U.S. promos (Ray Pollards, Big Dee Irwin, Sammy Ambroses etc etc etc) - you can only take one box...which would you chose???? Bet even Chalky would have a change of heart at this scenario..... Some U.K. demos don't float me boat though. Would prefer a red and yellow Pye International issue over the white and black demo any day....
  19. Ah, them were the good old days eh Rich Do you remember when the mod scene went latin loopy though, and all sorts of shite started getting played. Latin versions of all sorts of tunes were getting played, and then onto tracks with 30 word non english titles and lyrics that did your nut in! Seem to remember it died a death at that point...
  20. Jimmy Lipscomb - Pow pow pow (masquenade)????
  21. That's 4 not 3 Craig Recently started playing Barrett Strong again, after digging it out of an old box. Great tune Absolute quality tune!
  22. Believe Joe favours 'Bad breath'...but suppose he has no choice. Mind you, pedigree chum for tea each night would probably not help him...
  23. Hey Sister - Monguita Santa-Maria (spelt wrong no doubt) Along with 'Subway Joe' & 'Use it before you lose it' has gotta be in top 10...
  24. Out of bon bons this week then girlie.....
  25. About £30 max I'd say, though I have known it sell for slightly more. Not too keen on it myself.....kinda 'love it or hate it tune'
