  1. Nice one. I never have that sort of luck..... Okay...I lie.......
  2. £150 - £200 though I have seen it listed for more Regards Mace
  3. Just sent P.M. Regards Mace
  4. ...but that came from here originally mate... https://cgi.ebay.com/ART-BLAKEY-JAZZ-MESSEN...1QQcmdZViewItem ...unless some-one knows different....?????
  5. Well I drew every bit of my flyer by freehand...even the sax player (which is just very slightly different in design than the one used by a certain record label and record dealer in the past) so I'm in the clear....
  6. Richard, can't actually help with the ticket print run as such but do know a print company that will print 600 x 3 stub numbered tickets with foil security logo and your artwork/logo for about £70 (inc postage)...might even have been slightly less. Although not exactly cheap, the reason I've mentioned it is that you can actually have them done with 2 different sets of events info so you get 2 lots of 300 tickets, seperately numbered, for each event. I'm not planning on using tickets for the Solar Event I'm hoping to do for Mark, but if you can find somebody else who needs 300 tickets for an event you will only pay about £35 each. P.M. me if you need any more details. Mark, let me know if other events dates are sorted and I will check events calender to see if I can fit Bidds Solar night in before November? Regards Mace
  7. £15 ....won't mention 'Thanks for a little lovin' by them then.... Esko Wallace is an acquired taste without doubt...but also had some good feedback about that one from others on the list...one mans meat is anothers poison so they say
  8. I'll give you both a shout when I'm selling up then..... Boths sides are great tunes well worth the £150 ish price tag...
  9. It was Romance Watson and his other track on Coral is 'Come a little closer'. As for 'Where does that leave me' there is also a fairly decent version by Nancy Wilson on Capitol which should only cost about £15.
  10. CHEEKY TW*T
  11. I once had a male version of "It'll never be over for me" and I'm sure it was on Bigtop. Can't remember artist but it wasn't a great version by any stretch of the imagination. I sold it to Nige Shaw about 4 years ago, as he was collecting different versions of the track at the time.
  12. T'is a popcorn tune - Roger Banks used to spin it. Also came out on U.K. London...a mate of mine has a nice U.K. orange demo....
  13. Best release on the label IMO....awesome tune U.K. release of 'Wouldn't that be something' (also great tune) had different flip.
  14. Sorry Tone - only just read this...must read whole thread before posting repetitive replies...
  15. I'd describe it as brilliant and worth every penny....
  16. I've also got one for sale but sure some-one reserved tho can't remember who?? It was a massive tune on the mod scene mid to late 80s. The dancefloor used to split in half with lads on one side and girlies on t'other doing a 3 handclap to top right then 3 hand clap to bottom left in rhythm to the beat...then a quick dance in the break before lining back up......sounds mega naff now but it seemed great fun at the time. Got also misspressed as flipside 'Jody'?? on some copies of Del Shannons 'Runaway' U.K. London and also came out on a London L.P. called Memories are made of hits (Vol 3 I think???) Played it at a party full of nutjob scooterboys/skins once in the late 80s and they went mental for it and made me play it 5 times in a row ...oh happy days...
  17. Sorry mate - already reserved. List updated....best be quick for any others........
  18. List updated and some prices reduced..sensible offers considered. Regards Mace
  19. Think one of them would fix that dodgy curtain to the left of stage whilst they were up there.......
  20. link
  21. I don't think anyone will have a problem with paying a fiver into a soul night.....think a tenner might be pushing it though...you might make the same money but with less people, and I know I will have to sell the idea to the venue owner that it is in fact a charity night and he will make money over the bar...so obviously the more in the more he makes on the bar and also the better the atmosphere. Regards Mace
  22. Mark, I could probably set a date at the main room in Bidds to run a night in Stoke. I would need dates of all the other events to ensure dates suitable are available. Doubt it would be an allnighter as I can only get 4 a year, but certainly a very late finish. If there are gonna be a few different venue locations it would probably be a good idea to have one flyer advertising all the different venues and dates - keeps costs low and we can have a decent glossy flyer that can be distributed by all the promoters and DJs etc If its a goer let me know and I will chase dates......you would have to DJ of course, and I'm sure you could persuade a few other decent name DJs to offer their services for free. If there are gonna be quite a few events - it might be more sensible to keep admission price down to a fiver and you would probably make more money in the long run - certainly enough to cover sponsorship for a year.......an annual repeat of these events could keep your show going for many a year yet mate...
  23. That may well be the jazz one I have on the label that I mentioned earlier.
  24. Any chance of a soundclip of Sonny Mclaurin as couldn't see it on webpage? Found these listed but not sure what genre they are? Loretta Thompson - Let's change the alphabet - Fayette 101 Jackie Lee - Jet flight - Fayette 1619 Virtues - Guitar shuffle '65 - Fayette 1626 Jason St. James - I should care - Fayette 3873
  25. Then I stand corrected (but blame Adey for duff info!) Unless it is another Tami Lynn (as you suggest) and it is her debut. Then my info could be deemed correct
