  1. Or flip it for the fantastic 'If you don't dig the blues' Great double sider...gets my vote as one of ABCs finest releases
  2. There's always something to swap mate, you're just not thinking about it hard enough.....
  3. I've recently done an R&B / Early soul CD swap on Modculture and will gladly do a swap with you both. Not got track listing to hand but can assure you its a quality CD. Some nice tunes on both CDs listed above - Bobby Adams and Mitty Collier are pure class Slimharpo, and the Jimmy Norman on Raystar is a great tune Baz - quite difficult to source. The Kenny Hamber is a nice double sider and has a great flip 'Show me your monkey' Regards Mace
  4. Can't listen at work Linda so not sure which one you have posted. Is it FF version - if not do you have a soundclip of FF version you can post up? Regards Mace
  5. Tim A lives about a mile from me - If I remember I will ask him if he has any contact details for you....not to mention ripping the piss over the twatty thin white belts they are proudly wearing in this photo....
  6. No wonder - as I said earlier, stare hard enough at 'em and they will snap...
  7. Not me mate - I never knew his wife.... I'll get me coat...............
  8. Stop trying to muscle in girlie and get the kettle on for Ted.......
  9. Don't want any for meself - ain't got owt play 'em on and they can break too easy when shipped...stare at 'em hard enough and the buggers will snap Won't fit in my play box either..... Did snap up the Jo Ann Henderson for a few dollars off ebay though a few years back (now in Ziggys collection) So gave you the answer to your question...now expect the info of you Stevie boy..get typing and I'll get searching...
  10. Stevie - you may as well tell me mate - you know I'm trustworthy, and wouldn't abuse the information... Besides which, if I find it for ya I'll let you have it for $900...that means one email can save you $100...gotta be a bargain offer. Get typing...you know it makes sense....
  11. I'm confident I'll try me f*ckin' hardest if I can sell it for £300
  12. ...wondered if you were trying to con me out of my possible £295 profit by telling me its a 33 not a 45 if I turned one up. Will find out off Merv and try and find a box full as soon as poss. Would you require more than one at £300 being as you like it so much - maybe 2 for £550, 3 for £800?????
  13. Is the 7" 45rpm or 33rpm by the way - Merv tells me he has it but never seen it myself (dare not look at it in case it makes me fall asleep on the spot)
  14. Fair play. By the way - you agreed to £300 far too quickly so if I find one it may be more...
  15. I'll start looking then.....
  16. Presume you would you pay £300 for Rose Mitchell then???
  17. My arse..... Funny thing at last Hideaway - Damian had a copy of Jo Ann Henderson in his box for £200. Merv and Paul Bennet turns up and I says to Damian....watch this, I bet one of these 2 buy that tonight. I turn to Merv and Paul and says....You guys sure Rose Mitchell is better tha Jo ann Henderson then, and both nod there heads accordingly and echo 'Oh yes' similar to the Churchill dog . So I says - shame that, cus Damian has a Jo Ann Henderson for sale in his box but I suppose neither of you guys are bothered about it then. Paul couldn't get his cheque book out quick enough....
  18. Hang around any decent allnighter after 4.30 a.m. and Rob Smith will normally be on his way in... The Jo Ann Henderson is a hard one on 78 mate. Big Maybelle 'I got a feeling' is on 78 as well I believe. Think Kitty White was on ebay on 78 t'other week. Got a 78 on my wall on Okeh by Sophie Tucker called Aggravatin' Papa - can't play it as aint got player with 78 speed...sounds shite at 45 though...
  19. Yep - this was released on SAR (Sam Cookes Label) I've got one for sale somewhere if anybody interested. It was written by Sam Cooke and was also released by him on an album. Also a version by Ann Shelton on U.K. Phillips.
  20. Hear Roy Hamilton out quite a bit (big Hideaway tune). Barrett Strong was played a lot on the Mod scene in the late 80s early 90s. I have personally played them both at Alsager Civic...great tunes.
  21. /index.p...992&hl=mace Link to previous thread.......
  22. Useless at sound clips mate - but if you p.m. me your postal addy I can send you it on CD with the flip, a version of Barbara Masons 'Trouble Child'. Just checked current auction price - £410.....makes me happy.... There was a thread about this 45 a few weeks back......... Regards Mace
  23. Have had this a few times and been charged $10 or similar for shipping. Usually when record arrives it is packed in a large box with loads of packing and has actually cost the seller $9.55 or similar so seller wasn't making any extra profit just packing over the top to ensure package arrives safely. Would prefer that and receive item in one piece, that some of the sellers who charge $4 and send in a jiffy bag or envelope with no stiffeners ...had one this week - record broke in half even though I asked on email 'please pack well and sturdy in rigid cardboard mailer/box' !!!! If you've had a bargain off ebay and it arrives in one piece with less postage costs than you paid for, complain to seller afterwards - least you've got the 45 at a decent price at that point.
  24. Saw a copy on 'Horaces' fetching decent money on ebay a few weeks back....
  25. Sold a spare of SBW not long ago for £250 so you had another bargain I prefer not to mention my bargains as sellers and buyers may be on here...
