  1. ....knew it would only take half a dozen posts before you cracked and resorted to tried and tested insults...... Multi-tasking to you is farting and burping at the same time you big girls blouse. And f*ckwit is far more insulting than dimwit, and as I've already used it to insult you earlier tonight, you best dig that dictionary out and learn some more inventive insults.............
  2. New sales list due out Joe, or have you packed in knitting for the night
  3. I gotta agree with Chris here, a lot of DJs nowadays do 'sell to buy' so as to rotate their sets (obviously linked with the inflated rise in prices of decent rare vinyl), but don't really 'collect' as such in my opinion. I personally tend to collect (or hoard as my missus see it ), and very rarely sell anything from my own collection. So see myself as a collector more than a DJ (awaiting obvious sarcastic comments ) Never been one to chase label runs etc though, and don't really relate to that side of things because I buy it if I like it, and very few labels have complete number runs of quality tunes......imo of course
  4. Shame that, would've more than covered your recent taxi fare if they'd had liked it.........
  5. Great stuff Even better if you follow his link to his own site https://www.kevroberts.com/ Nice pic of him looking like a 'Harry Enfield Scouser'.... And just when I thought he was warming to me his last comment on the page pretty much sums me up......(and 90% of regular Soul Source posters) 'People Dislikes: Professional mischief makers who are talent-less and create little.'
  6. Got a U.K. one for sale in this list on SS at moment..... /index.php?showtopic=37277 Just the cost of a few kebabs
  7. Okay, found it on a website with a few others so copied and pasted..........any spelling mistakes are therefore not mine 2 dyslexic skiiers are skiing down a slope first 1 starts swishing side to side saying "Zag-Zig, Zag-Zig" 2nd one says "it is Zig-zag you idiot" they carry on skiing arguing this point for a while when they suddenly get sprayed with snow from one side they both look around and see what they think is a Bobsleigh "nice Bobsleigh" says skiier 2 "are you the driver?" the man looks up from his seat and says "I am a tobogannist" "oh," says skiier 1 "in that case I'll have 20 Marlborough Light" Did you hear about the dyslexic agnostic insomniac? He lay awake all night pondering the existence of Dog. Or the dyslexic raver who dropped a couple of 'f's Or the dyslexic pimp who bought a warehouse A dyslexic walks into a bra.... enough already.....................
  8. Very good, but surely the best dyslexia joke ever is the one about the dyslexic devil worshipper who sold his soul to santa................... Then theres the one about the dyslexic tobogannist one but can't be arsed to type it all out............ Also how ironic is it that the word dyslexia/dyslexic is an awkward one to spell...

  10. ............and I used to think you had quite good taste Pete... Top, top, tune
  11. Think he did one at The Cheshire Cheese in Nantwich? Called it KaraOKeH or similar? Never went but believe it was a busy night? He wanted to try another one a few years ago and asked me if I would help him organise it................ I told him bollox
  12. More like she'll wonder why I've taken so long to post it up !
  13. At the last Bidds, Linda (Miss Popcorn) was pestering Des Parker for the artist info on one of his recent cover-ups. At the end of the night she gleefully informed me that Des had wrote down the artists name on the back of a flyer for her, which she hastily unfolded to reveal the name.. Hugh Janus I did the decent thing and told her to re-read it....after p*ssing meself mind....
  14. Pete, it would be nigh on impossible to compile a comprehensive list to be truthfull, as there are so many. If possible, you would be better off creating a database or list of all those available that you do not know values/demand for and inviting us R&B junkies to send for such a list, and offer accordingly. Could understand how this may not be an option for you though. Will compile and p.m. you a current list of a few items I'm after all the same. Regards Mace
  15. Chris did do one for a while, but was forever chasing outstanding debts for adverts, and on a monthly print run it can soon add up to a silly amount of money. Its a great idea in concept, as advertising cost was very reasonable (£25 for a quarter page of a 10k full colour print run if I remember correctly?) and if all promoters involved distributed their share of print run in their own area it could achieve effective nationwide advertising.
  16. There was loads of these on ebay a few years back from a seller called Mayeluquet along with shed loads of other New Orleans stuff which she bought out in mass stock from a warehouse /shop, so I assumed it was a New Orleans label
  17. If you include the early days of the Twisted Wheel I should imagine loads. Would think Eyes of Blue 'Heart trouble' (version of Parliaments) and Spencer Davis 'Trampoline' have probably had a few spins on Northern scene.
  18. Hi Keith - sorry to hear this mate. Seems as though selling at the majority of venues is hard work at moment - free sales CDs with partial tracks sent out to your customer base may help (if you don't already do it) You can buy, burn & post out 100 CDs 2nd class for about £40 (and get about 80 x 1 min tracks on each CD) If your invited offers don't bring in enough revenue then advertise a whole stock half price sale - only running until you sell enough stock to sort your finances for a month then it goes back to normal prices...might keep you going a while longer and may increase interest in your site, possibly creating increased future sales.. Whatever happens, I hope it works out for you. Regards Mace
  19. If you don't like it, how come you have it as your avatar now Phil Or does the label 'do it for you'..
  20. Would say £150 for Turley Richards is about right
  21. Funnily enough I was talking about the other version to Mik Parry and Joe Dutton at last Middleton. I also can't remember artist name/title or label to save me life, but sure label looks very similar to 'Merging' label.....help some-one...
  22. Pete, just because you come over as a 'Mellow Fellow' you must not let her take you for a 'Pushover'. 'Do I make myself clear'....????
  23. Great tune - covered up by Roger Banks many moons ago as 'Play in your own backyard' or 'Your own backyard'? Some-one will probably correct me now....... Got mine off Des Parker about 12 months ago....will probably spin it at Bidds Allnighter this Saturday (plug, plug, blatant plug ) Is it R&B...is it Northern???? Who give a f*ck...its the dogs doodarrs
