  1. Yup, 'tis indeed Joe Bataan, and is the exact same cut as the Fania release. I actually picked up the Naatab 'Magic Rose' on Uptite at Allentown a few years ago Michael....the Naatab Uptite release of 'Are you satisfied' was obviously well known, but it seems as though the 'Magic Rose' release on Uptite is not that well known. I managed to pick another copy from a U.K. dealer for a couple of quid not long after, but not seen another since.....seems to be as rare as the Fania one IMO. Johnny Beggs has an edit version of the Pussycat single, which is more 'user friendly' so to speak
  2. Didn't realise that was your site...happened to check it out from a link on Modculture the other day. There is an Uptite release by Naatab 'Magic Rose' that I seem to recall not listed in your Uptite discog...I don't have a copy anymore as I kept the Fania release, but will hopefully get the release number & flip info for you as I remember who bought it off me. I also might be able to help you out with missing info from other various Latin label discogs once Johnny Beggs gets back from NY next week. Also, do you know of any other 45 releases on The Willow label other than Goody Oswaldo?
  3. Diane & Carole and the Watchamacallits 'The fuzz' SP1003 One just ended on ebay... https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190343132430&ssPageName=ADME:B:ONA:US:1123
  4. Nah, you're thinking of Chief Kinshall Joe No contact numbers here either sorry
  5. Des, why are you reading this when you should be trawling through thousands of 45s by now?
  6. What link Warren
  7. Sebastians post #12 pretty much told you where to get a copy for $20 + P&P. To save you a bit more time its Parkers Records....now all you gotta do is google it and buy it
  8. Should work as I'm sure they use this method on small windscreen cracks on cars (small hole at each end of crack and then fill holes with a resin) Though I would be concerned that a drill bit could 'snatch' as it goes through and cause the crack to splinter in another direction? Hot electricians soldering iron with a thin tip might be a safer way to make the hole, vinyl surrounding hole will also be slightly thicker from melting so would be even stronger. Might slightly burn label around the hole you make, but surely less chance of cracking it further.
  9. Looks white to me Now you mention it, I think I have actually seen this on a pale blue Cotique mate. You still need to admit to being wrong about thinking it was a copy of 'Love doll' though....
  10. Got an awful image of you squatting with your pants round your ankles, and your mate crouched behind you, holding the shoe box at arms left, with one hell of a grimace on his face, shouting 'left a bit, right a bit.....pinch it off, pinch it off...FFS pinch it off off NOW!' Not pretty....not pretty at all....
  11. "It's worth mentioning that the 23-year-old didn't deliver mail addressed to himself either," Now that's just plain fcuking lazy Actually, I had a similar thing happen to me when I moved into our current house Our postie seemed really decent....I clued him up about the records and gave him a nice tip at Xmas....never had any problems. About a year later we had a new postie and thought nowt of it until a PO van pulled up with 3 bin bags full of old mail for my address. The guy had hoarded literally thousands upon thousands of letters and packages from his round....hardly any of mine had been opened, and most were old mail addressed to the former occupants...including a tow bar bracket for his car. In all this time I never had one record go missing though.....so best remember to tip you postie well if you collect records
  12. Haven't got any of those old RSS flyers mate....did I make a proper record sleeve out of it with a record flyer inside? Must have had far too much time on my hands if so I've still got the proper sleeve somewhere, and the promo 45, which I bought off Blondie from Stoke with a copy of Doug Banks at the same time.....20+ years ago Remember hearing them both for the first time played back to back by Stu Wilkinson (Newcastle) at an allnighter in Leeds. Anyone know if Stu Wilkinson is still around ?
  13. Maybe so Daz, but to be fair to Lee, at least he puts his offer on the table of what he wants to pay.....he'll either get a copy of the record or not. I recently sold him a copy of a record he offered book price for, and he replied and paid within a couple of minutes of my offer....absolutely spot on buyer and the best way to post for a 'wants' item imo. Regards Mace
  14. It's a fair point if the record is priced at book price, but if it's cheap then I can't see the problem with adding 4% paypal fees. As a buyer, I always consider what the total cost will be inc P&P and paypal fees. Same with ebay sellers who overcharge for P&P.....if the record is well cheap it doesn't bother me if I pay higher shipping costs than usual as long as the final cost is still below what I am willing to pay. Then consider buying off international sellers (which is obviously relevant to this site), before paypal, it was either risk sending the cash (and pay extra on top to insure it), or having to go to Barclays and pay something like £13 for an International Money Order, way too much time and hassle...I personally would much rather pay the sellers paypal fees than go through all that again.
  15. So there is...and he usually does stuff cheaper than list price if he has high stock figures and you buy multiple copies After he suffered a quiet Allentown recently, the phrase 'As empty as Parkers pockets' was coined by his namesake on here
  16. What are these blue and yellow Cotique labels? I've only ever seen the multi coloured swirly issues or white label promos from what I can recall?
  17. 'Kin pervert...... MODERATORS!
  18. It is on Cotique, but all the copies I've seen have been white promos mate. Ray Jay and the Eastsiders did release at least one other track (Searching for love) on Cotique that I know of, but pretty sure I've only seen promos of that one as well?
  19. Latin is incredibly hard to find in the U.S., especially the quality stuff. Beggsy was playing this around 1995, he spun it at the 100 Club around that time and apparently had a queue of people wanting to know what it was (though I reckon they were more likely trying to remove him from the decks ) He also reckons that the Stereo M.C.s had sampled the intro from it around that time. Right, back to the sunbed for a top-up...
  20. Not aware of boots of Sonny Til or Dooley Sisters. Sonny Til 'Hey little woman' was released twice on CP with 2 different flips. Ernie Fields on U.K. London £25 - £30. Regards Mace
  21. Old Johnny Beggs spin from many moons ago....he does love his latin bless him. I'd say £40 - £50 is about it's money, though I have sold it for £30 before now. £70 is a tad high Phil....though I have seen some-one list it on here for £90 in the past Regards Mace
  22. Mace

  24. Has anybody ever seen/heard the Jerry Williams release on Academy 113 called Hum-baby? If so, can anybody post a sound clip please? Regards Mace
  25. Depends how you equate value me 'owd mucka. Surely demand plays as much a part in this equation as rarity? Regards Mace
