Tell him if he won't combine postage you don't want him to combine packing so he needs to send all 6 seperately...won't save you any money but it will cost him more in time, materials and postage. Then report him.....

Some sellers hike the postage rate to compensate for offering a lower price Buy It Now, as their ebay fees would be lower for that transaction if it sells. Also some sellers use brand new mailers and stiffeners rather than recycle old ones, not sure if this is the case here, but if so you gotta allow some cost for the packing materials. As Adam says, surely the only thing that matters is if you are happy with the total amount. Did you buy it in the end Pete?

How people become so negative to hearing stuff they have never heard before is beyond me. Everybody got into this scene knowing nowt about obscure soul records and embraced the music that was new to them. How does that passion change? Why would anyone suddenly want to switch off and only listen to what they already know seems the exact opposite nature of what attracted them to this scene in the first place. I can understand folk not liking certain genres, and I can appreciate that a full set of unknowns can be overbearing, but most of those that use the term Rare Soul in a derogatory manner don't seem to want to accept anything other the the tried and tested. All that aside, it is getting tiresome of reading constant snipes and moans about Rare Soul Events from these people. Perhaps they should concentrate on being positive about the stuff they do enjoy, rather than so negative about the stuff they don't. Then we can all play nicely

Nice to have the choice then. Let's suppose both suffer poor attendances and neither fare well in regards a lack of atmosphere and a substantial financial loss due to costs. Suppose both promoters decide to call it a day after the clash cus they don't fancy the risk of losing another sh*tload of money in the future.....consider the possibility that you might not have the choice of either venue again in the future? Of course there should be plenty to choose from the allnighter calender...just not necessarily on the same night within close proximity of each other. As for promoters who suddenly set up new nighters clashing with other established events because 'those were the only dates available'....funny how them dates never seem to be on the same nights as the likes of Stoke Kings Hall / March Prestatyn etc...probably cus you know you'd be on a major loser and dare not risk letting the possible attendees choose with their feet in that scenario eh? A great quote from recent years is that "venues don't clash, promoters do", and if there is no other dates available at the venue without causing a damaging clash, then the promoter still has a easy choice........just so happens that certain promoters can never seem to opt for the simplest decision of not booking that date!
