Ebay Search For B.i.ns - Strange Happenings?
You'd think it would surely be the most important tool of the site though. If the search engine doesn't show everything that's listed it's gonna cost them lost revenue in commission. Bizarre to say the least.

Ebay Search For B.i.ns - Strange Happenings?
I've noticed a few times now that some items listed as Buy-It-Now on ebay don't show on a search. The first time was a few weeks back when I saw a cheap copy of a record on ebay as a BIN that I had seen Pete Smith say he liked. I couldn't be arsed to buy it, so PMed Pete to tell him about it. Pete couldn't find it by searching, and then neither could I, so I had to retrace my steps through the BIN listings to find it, and lo and behold it was still there. Similar has happened tonight with another record. Won't show on searching, and not come up in completed items either. No trace of it at all. It may have been withdrawn, but with the strange way the other record went awol I wondered if anybody has experienced the same, or can offer any explanation It's fcuking annoying to say the least, but for anyone selling as a BIN, it may well hinder any possible sale from potential buyers who may not be able to see it on a search? Any help appreciated. Regards Mace

J T Parker - If You Want To Hold On
I don't suppose they will, I should imagine their sniffing addictions have progressed to a half decent glue-stick by now

J T Parker - If You Want To Hold On
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.....apart from the fact that you've wasted good record money on a luxery item such as tippex, or did you half-inch that from work

As long as it's not being sung from a sheet of paper in the singers hand....then yes, I'm up for that.

J T Parker - If You Want To Hold On
I'd have seriously considered your most generous offer Craig, however, I was but a mere caretaker for a week or two before we parted company so to speak...... However, just to rub salt in the wound, it arrived in a sleeve marked J.T. Parker $7 in blue biro, the price of which had been crossed out and reduced to $5 in black biro. Can only presume it had been doing the rounds at record shows, rather unsuccessfully, before being reduced to a more 'attractive' price and being added to the website. I thoughtfully left it in this sleeve for the new owner.......

Portable Player For Crate Digging
I did see one that was possibly smaller once on ebay. It was one of those 'snap shut' type with the stylus built into the underside of the lid.....looked more of a toy than a genuine player, and wasn't too sure how effectively they track on the grooves so resisted the temptation to bid on it.

Portable Player For Crate Digging
A bit like my post # 3 on here with the cone and pin? You can see the Super midget on Youtube link below.....you can see later in the video that you have to physically move the centre spindle further away from the rotating vertical wheel to change from 45rpm to 33 rpm.....

Portable Player For Crate Digging
......what's not to like about having a big birds head on the end of your tonearm I've got possibly the smallest portable record player ever made (if you don't include those VW toy van vinyl killers and the like) It's called the Super Midget and is approx 220mm x 90mm x 50mm in size, battery operated and includes a radio! The record is not rotated by the turntable, but a verticle rubber wheel mounted about 50 mm from the centre spindle. It's cool as fcuk! I'll post a pic later........

J T Parker - If You Want To Hold On
Dunno, but I nearly fell off me chair when I saw it listed just before Junior Parker.......those 2 weeks of waiting for a response seemed like a fcukin' lifetime!

J T Parker - If You Want To Hold On
Did you check the rest of the site Liam......I had some great stuff for great prices of this guy. I'd bought off this site in the past, and came back off hols to find out the site had been updated with this added. Emailed the seller but got no response for over 2 weeks cus he'd gone on his hols! He emailed me on his return to say I'd got 17 out of the 19 records I ordered and this was one of them....bizzarely some-one pipped me to a Buddy Ace 'True Love' in the same section for $5 and left this behind......! It wasn't you was it?

J T Parker - If You Want To Hold On

The Scene
Well, it was either pay the electricity bill or upgrade the toilets at Bidds....and they deffo needed the power to keep the new fruit machine running. Funnily enough I noticed the Gents toilets had been repainted at Lifeline on saturday..... maybe they were faced with a similar choice, so the toilets got the funds and Mick H was asked to hop on a treadmill wired to a dynamo......Mick obviously couldn't resist taking the odd breather during Butchs set

The Scene
I honestly don't understand why anyone would want to spend their evening out, moaning about what's wrong with the venue / promoter / music / DJs / carpet / dancefloor / toilets / bar prices / stairs / chrome fixtures and fittings etc etc etc....life's far too short. I don't even understand why anyone would want to come on here the next day or so and spend time moaning about any of the above. Surely the time for all that, is the journey home from the said event in the car. What is wrong with you fcukers!

Anna Belle Caesar - I've Got My Man
I think I paid £200 for mine Pete, and should imagine between £200 - £300 would be about it's money......though I reckon it's a lot rarer than it's price indicates.

Anna Belle Caesar - I've Got My Man
A couple popped up for sale about a year ago Pete and I've not seen any since, think those out there are probably tucked up in collections now. Certainly a hell of a lot lot tougher to find than 'Little Annie'. Hope you get sorted with a copy
