  1. Can I be of any help cnutybollox?
  2. Presumably without any cakes and sandwiches? OMG!
  3. Mark, nobody deserves elitist derision..... but surely YOU would/should prefer to dance to whatever grabs you by the heart strings......or the bollox ? ......be it oldies, newies or just plain bollox grabbers (otherwise known as R&B)! Your lady may is probably lovely (I'm sure she is).......but soul is soul......come say hello at the Star, I'm the fat ugly cnut! (Geese is fatter & uglier mind!)
  4. Salmon, al the best you old cnut! And leave the nurses alone you dirty old tart! Yours (clinical & cyncal!) Mace
  5. Thanks guys.....nowt printed on it to indicate anything but U.K. but Jamaican makes sense. Never seen this design before...is it common?
  6. Still don't think you should have spoken to Mick H like that though Chalks....
  7. Can anyone throw any light on the origin of this 45 ? Presume it's an import by large centre hole, but whilst design is same as U.K. Sue label, colours are blue & white, not red and yellow? It came from Canada, so I first presumed it was Canadian, even though the Canadian Sue is usually a plain orange design. Print is somewhat blurry, but label looks to be genuine, and vinyl has a stamped WI number...label number is same as U.K. release. Any ideas folks?
  8. I heard a rumour that a new '3before8' was doing the rounds......believe these are the other 2.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hpi44Ch9rY
  9. More of a Chix-wiv-Dix kinda guy eh?
  10. Jez told me you spend a small fortune every month on Jazz Mags Geese.........
  11. It's the same seller, description is also identical except that 'UK/Europe shipping' has now been added.
  12. Looks like same copy (and same seller) is straight back up on ebay as a 'Buy it Now' @ $210, but shipping now available to U.K. ...... https://www.ebay.com/...=item5890e64add Unless they've got a boxfull...?
  13. Kinnell....I sold a VG+(ish) copy for £25 last year! I guessed it was tough, but thought maybe £70 mint! Great tune and immediately regretted selling it, but luckily managed to find another in similar condition recently.
  14. Freddie Norths version of 'Oh lord, what are you doing to me' pretty much hits the spot for me. Not a dancer by any means, but a heart wrenching ballad and vocally way better than Big Maybelles version (imo)...
  15. What he actually states is ORIGINAL LABEL...clever wording methinks, though he does state RARE ITEM further down the description...should a repress of 500 be considered rare (presuming it's a 500 run?).....and yes, the number available is pretty much a dead giveaway. I heard recently that up until the 50 year licensing rule got extended to 70 years, that pretty much every big Northern record was set to be pressed on lookalikie lables, in the same vein as the current R&B reissues. Have seen quite a few lookalikies lately, most are dead obvious, but on ebay with a poor scan and clever wording it's probably best to do your homework before 'bagging a bargain' so to speak. The easiest way to check is to go on ebay.com and do a search for the item.......cus if some-one's selling them, then you can bet a good few others are as well......as below, https://www.ebay.com/...-All-Categories
  16. Presuming that people will think you like the Marty Thompson track because you posted it up.
  17. I didn't say you did....did I ? It's a reference to back peddling from a situation that you feel uncomfortable about.
  18. You wanna be careful you don't crunch your gears by knocking into reverse so fast....
  19. Damm my clumsy fat fingers, go-slow keyboard and dial up connection.....I had you in my sights Threlfall....in my sights I tell ya!
  20. I've got one by Gene Chandler - Joy 136 Clueless on albums mind...do these have any value?
  21. Perhaps you 2 just wanna sort it out between you, cus I'm quite happy with my original decision
  22. No it's not, I was in there buying some chicken nuggets the other week and I heard it playing over their tannoy system
  23. Kev, she works for me , and was actually throwing down ant powder. Not the stuff to kill insects, but to ensure Ant the manager slips on his ar$e on the way to the mixing desk to adjust the volume.......
  24. Hi Jules, might be worth sending them an email to confirm......will post up any response on here. Last time I saw Brian Hall was at Warrens Boogaloosoul night, don't see him very often at all. Never seen or heard his band play unfortunately. Next time you see him ask him about the night in London that we rigged the wiring on his Lambretta so we could get a free lift home with the RAC.....and the ensuing 'fight' we had on a petrol station forecourt over a mars bar! My old man once asked us if we were a pair of poofs cus we used to take ages doing our hair before going out to some mod event He's a great guy, very funny, with pretty much the same sense of humour as me Regards Mace
