  1. Can't help meself....
  2. Ah Billy.....since you started the ball rolling with this record.....
  3. ...actually, thinking about it, Chalky started the low down and dirty talk.....
  4. Bugger, now I've been rumbled
  5. So singing about taking you down to the woodshed for a piece of jellyroll ain't low down and dirty..... Cookie Jackson 'Try love' also falls into low down and dirty in my books. It is all R&B at the end of the day (or shall we go into chain gang / gospel / tribal chant blah blah blah....... )...just different levels of acceptance.... Been a good discussion Chalky, and a clean fight... I'll get ya a pint at Stafford Reunion and have ya dancing to Little Annie by Xmas... Catch ya all later, Mace.
  6. Spot on girl.......
  7. Nearly worn me way through to the flipside mate....
  8. Truth is that when these big R&B tunes become accepted by the Northern crowd, they become instantly adopted and defended by the same token. Big Daddy Rogers, Cookie Jackson, 5 Royales etc seem to suffer the fate of being dropped by the R&B scene cus they have been accepted by the Northern Scene .....shame really, cus they are great tunes. (James Duncan and Lou Lawton are terrible records IMHO.)
  9. Do have a confession though - first time I heard it (through a sound burger) I was not over impressed to say the least.....next time was in a club and it blew me socks off.....hence the 12 months from now remark.
  10. Davie...you're not big mates with Chalky are ya...
  11. You're just bringing ya mates in to back you up methinks..
  12. You're all just oppressing those inner demons....
  13. Take it you don't like it then Grant......
  14. Same as us all Chalky......would be a perfect world otherwise, and our scene has no place in a perfect world.... Goes back to my point that you wouldn't mind being in a venue where this was played then, as long as other tunes floated your boat then....
  15. 'Tis hard to judge on p.c. Rach. Like I said, 'Little Annie' does really sound the business in a club (though I suppose that could be said of a million tunes) Love to play it alongside Jo Anne Henderson 'Baby please don't go' me feet are tapping at the thought of it...
  16. Sorry - rants and mispelling should not have been there...red wine kicking in good style now...
  17. It is, but I will find it a better discussion point in 12 months time when (nearly) everyone will be agreeing with me (maybe even you Chalks, if you find the way out of the closet... )....
  18. Fair point...but does sound the business over a big sound system in a club, and is very contagious.......like I said - will make a good discussion point in 12 months time.
  19. Sorry nearly forgot... Caps lock business is getting scary now Linda
  20. As is the caps lock ..........
  21. This closet R&B thing ain't really you is it Chalks!......
  22. Linda...lets scare 'em to death with Piney Brown....do you have a soundfile? Now that is low down and dirty.....
  23. Enough info methinks Gaz...
  24. Link has buggered off Linda.....anyone esle see it?
