  1. 'Slave' on Youtube is Sean Courtneys copy, not pitched up as far as I can tell. Anyone notice the resemblance between Slave and Sammi Lee 'Lets talk it over' or is it just me?
  2. Jason, pretty sure it was on one of my Jesterwild mixes.....had a few copies of Monkey that I think went to Karl Heard and Killa....liked it first but got bored of it pretty quick. There's another on the label by JJ that's pretty shite, and also a decent instrumental on PAL by Delvations or Deviations that I have somewhere. Dennis, if you ever manage to bag a copy iof Slave I'm sure you'll realise it a much better track!! I did get a spare of 'Slave' off a Japanese website a few years ago...no English translation on site so had to phone up and speak the obligatory pidgeon English to purchase it....barrel of laughs that was! Come to think about it, think you may have sold a copy of Monkey to Killa Dennis?
  3. It's a good tune but surprised it recently went for $500+ Nowhere near as good (or as rare) as 'I'm a slave' in my opinion....was quantity copies of 'Monkey' on one website a few years back.
  4. https://m.ebay.com/itm/161558874742?_mwBanner=1 After aquiring Roger Banks' copy a while ago, I'll obviously be interested to see how much this lovely condition copy fetches on ebay....I'm guessing £2,800....poss £3K Place ya bets!
  5. List a load of $ 10 to $15 records (ie hundreds) on one listing (all Individually graded) and offer it as a 'buy it now' for any 6 for $70 (approx £45 at moment) Shipping should be around $15 and if records are conservatively graded and customs value is set at $12 ($2 per record) you might shift a few....then relist remaining 45s or add more as necessary. Only one listing fee, quicker and cheaper to pack 6 x45s together than individually and attractive to European buyers....
  6. Repro...font all wrong....
  7. Phil, you say the Pal & Prophets is not same tune. Does that mean you have heard the one you are searching for to compare, or that your mate tells you its different.? I once made up a record to test a smart arse who always 'knew' every oddball R&B tune going....think I called it Big Betty & The G-Spots 'I only weep when I come' Yup, he knew it, and had actually sold a copy a few years previous. Some smartarse will probably throw a scan up now to make me look a twat!
  8. Johnny Beggs used to spin this years ago....thought it used to be £200ish but may have shot up in price lately....think Hoss may have bought Callum's, so presume he played it in last Pow Wow Mik.
  9. Is it possible to load a youtube link without the playback screen popping up....so you can just click on links in posts to hear ones of interest? If so perhaps sales forum could be modified to only accept suchlike?
  10. Though back then Pete, there was little other option to hear such tunes other that some C60 compilation tape....or go to the venues to hear the DJs play them. There are plenty of easy options to obtain and hear such tunes nowadays, and whilst I understand the 'need' of some to buy a vinyl copy, I can't really see the point in them this day and age. To be honest, I'm way past caring about them....they play no part in the scenes or clubs that interest me, and don't seem to affect prices of orginals to any extent that I have noticed.
  11. Hi Mark, tucked away in Pow Wow Room, so after packing up equipment I didn't get into Main room till after 5.30ish. Next one Feb 28th... ;o) Merry Xmas pal.

  14. Jesse, applying the same logic does that therefore mean you prefer 'Elderado' to 'Footballers wives' ? Have a good Xmas you daft old teddy boy, and thanks for letting Damien know I was trying to get in touch....he phoned me a few nights back and we are catching up NYE.....sounds like he's had a rough last 5 months. Regards UK releases.....isn't it just a question of preferring either ORIGINAL UK first issues or ORIGINAL US first issues......give me the likes of Ray Pollard, Sammy Ambrose, Darrow Fletcher et all on UK promos/issues to their US counterpart any day! Merry Christmas you argumentative bunch of ball bags!

  19. How the fcuk did you make it to 1.49 Matt?? Just edited the Cat number as missed a trick first time!
  20. Did she announce it just prior to performing it.....surely the backing track was on a CD in the decks ready? The crowd look enthralled mind...it was a 'Golden' moment for sure! Did it make it to CD or Vinyl? Also, did she record anymore that are locked away in the archives (and rightly so!)......maybe due to be released as a future comp.... "Judy Street - The lost tracks - Goldmine Cat: KR1N9E" Ha ha......so many questions....?
  21. Poor Fred!
  22. So that's how you built your collection.......to be fair to whoever the seller was in this instance, it seems as though it was indeed filling dancefloors by March 2008......
  23. Just shows what a wonderful site you host Mike.......CF or Popsike don't show any earlier than this date....not sure how far they go back mind. I'd say Fred is definitely to blame then.......
  24. March 2008.....nearly 7 years ago, Popsike shows a copy at £91 Description states..... THIS IS MASSIVELY FILLING DANCEFLOORS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. No soundfile....so must have been know then....link below, should be top of page https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?pagenum=1&searchtext=stanky&incldescr=&sortord=adate&thumbs=&currsel=
