Never heard of it before - and to be honest, can't see it taking off as it's probably more cost effective to press separate CD and DVD and stick them both in a double pack case (which already happens with numerous major label releases)
In this case, yes - the Champion issue of Johnny Caswell is a reissue, the only original release was on Decca - however there are originals on Champion, most notably Gloria Jones "Tainted Love"
Is this the same song as Dee Dee Warwick (She Didn't Know, She Kept On Talking) on Atco?
Truly awesome set of 4 albums, tho' the very best of all 100 tracks would IMO have to be Jean Wells "Have A Little Mercy"
And Pat is hardly the only DJ to have kept the identity of a common record secret - I remember not so long back one DJ wouldn't tell me what Nicole Willis was
Hmm...listening to it, it could have been superb if more effort had been put into the session - wonder if there's another version lurking around somewhere??
Well in Clowne we should have a glass box marked "In Case Of Non Dancing Break Glass" with behind it a copy of Willie Mitchell "The Champion" - it's our local anthem
Awesome record, one you don't hear played out very often these days - You Don't Love Me Anymore on the B-side is good too
By the way, mine has the labels reversed too
Definitely released on 7" - I've seen a few listed, usually around £150 or so - Manship has one for that price at the mo, 'tis a Jamaican release tho' (so not for US only purists)
That would probably be "Mama Never Told Me" - at least I think that predated "Love..."
By the way, are all copies of "Love.." on US Atco pressed way off centre - or is it just both of mine?
