Totally agree my friend i think all them back drops etc etc makes the scene look a bit shabby When were talking about dancers the best one by a mile was FRANK BOOPER and for us lucky enough to have seen him in his prime was a dream i will certainly never forget the times i watched him at wigan and hes still dancing at the WHEEL (whithout spinning)And have recently told him some 36 years later.NOW THATS WHAT WE CALL A DANCER !!!!!

ME AND MY FRIEND JIMMY "THE HAT" WERE FORTUNATE TO KNOW A DOOR MAN AT WIGAN AND ON THE NIGHT BETTY WRIGHT WAS ON 74 I THINK !!WAS TOLD BY JACKIE THE DOORMAN TO GO AND SEE HIM AT 12 OCLOCK WHEN THE NORMAL CASINO "DRUNKS" WERE TO LEAVE WE WERE THEN USHERED TO THE UPSTAIRS CLOAKROOM AND THEN SHOWN THE SKY LIGHT WE BOTH THOUGT WE WAS GETTING VIP TREATMENT WE WENT UP ON SOME LADDERS AND POPPED IT OPEN AND WHEN WE GOT UP THERE HAVE NEVER SEEN AS MANY PEOPLE THERE MUST HAVE BEEN 70ISH ALL THIS TO SAVE A COUPLE OF QUID MIND YOU I WAS ONLY GETTING A TENNER A WEEK WAGES I REMEMBER LOOKING DOWN AT THE SHEAR DROP AND THAT NIGHT THERE WAS A BIT OF DRIZZLE SO VERY SLIPPY UP THERE AND ON BEING LET BACK IN JACKIE WAS WAITING FOR HIS 50P BUT WHAT A NIGHT !!!
