  1. All I can say is happy birthday Keith and thanks for your welcoming kindness to lapsed nighter attendees like myself at the 100 club and other venues far and wide
  2. Superb addition, great work yet again.
  3. My reissue that I got for a tenner 7 years ago went for 70 I think....jumped around all over the shop on my turntable dont know how the buyer got on with it no complaints garbage
  4. Happy memories of Sue skipping up and down the floor at Orrell and elsewhere, blunt, to the point no prisoners, ''Oi you, you're dancing on my talc!!'' so sad for us-be some party over the hill. Some lovely conversations, beautiful inside and out. Deepest deepest respects to the Triska family and friends. xxxx
  5. I live up he road so its been a given for the past few years, and yes. Can get to Leaking Boot any time though!
  6. Worste so called soul record I’ve ever heard, and there’s been one or two, has to be Wombat I would smash every single copy of that into the ground with a hammer. Goos because it’s rare. No thank you. Also a few deep sounds from the 80s as well which have you full of excitement when you first play them thinking you have a drop and then slap you round the face with ill advice and misfortune.
  7. Why am I even looking it up After The most crushing review I’ve ever seen I think
  8. Probably worth a bob or two now haha
  9. Sad sad news, and a legend. rest in Peace
  10. Bonnie Pointer Rest in Peace official News just arrived. Has to be done, sing on in the heavens above.

  14. Indeed I thought that so I will say thank you now to everyone for the help and get Ike Put aside for when I come home
  15. I’ll check it again, I’m pretty sure it was dual mould. Now about the price...
  16. Ok Mick thank you, I think It’s a little off-also note the big numbers in deadwax.
  17. I found this copy on sale today in the shop catalogue price at £100. I looked over it and it seemed a little bit stiff and the labels just didn’t seem right. I smelled boot. So I didn’t buy it not at that point long until I got help. Have a look at the photos see what you think the label is glossySo I didn’t buy it not at that point until I got help and confirmation . Have a look at the photos see what you think the label is glossy looks like new and the record is a reasonably heavy dual mould styrene. Slight raised bevel I think to the centre. Couldn’t find any boots of it tho.

  19. Scunny eh-must be.......RS
  20. I must confess to spending as much time watching the credits on early 70s blaxploitation movies as I do yeh movies themselves. A quick look at Coffey reveals Denise a Bridgewater a.k.a. DeeDee singing the title track Coffy Baby for Roy Ayres and Harry Whitaker followed by another Career backing singer Wayne Garfield singing shining symbol from the pen of Carl Clay and Ayers. Another credit is Harry Whitaker who joined Roy in Ubiquity and Black Renaissance, as did Garfield for singing and songwriting duties. Gripping stuff
  21. Modern soul henthusiasts-not sure if it’s the same Janice on Fantasy Records from 1976 https://youtu.be/zInrZEX4o-E And the flip-label is obscure anyone know owt about it wonderful harmonics left to run. Looks like Janice McHugh and a Quebec label https://youtu.be/lBrtb_SfQm8
  22. Brooks Brothers Looking for a woman Some so cool Some full o Jive Some even carry “whatcha call a butcher knife” eh?? I suppose it was a bit mad at times in 60s Detroit
  23. That looks a bit Booty as well. I would t throw massive money at it.
