  2. Went to the dog arse days of the Camden Palais to check out ''Jackie Wilson Live at'' It was full of 80s blondes proper hand-baggers and there was me in a parka like a twart, for me a regular haunt was Happiness Stan's in Farringdon a bit of all sorts club with focus on 60s sounds, lots of Mod stuff, not sure how long it had been going but seemed a long time, Id get in there straight away, doormen would whisk you down the front and in, loved that place now sadly gone. Aniother place was upstairs at the Monarch in Camden the upstairs room was bouncing more of a soul club, that. Were talking 80s tho. Love these flyers in this post-awesome
  3. Alcohol in mm...every day variable quantities, but I lost the Mrs 2 months in October as well, as for buying records, a bad habit is started using eBay again, which I dont find healthy, but asfor buying records if I want it, I'll say, yes I'm having it. Not exercising thats an issue.
  4. Great to see, another Nashville musical experience to soak up. Look forward to visiting that. And a million from Amazon, that gives me ideas...
  5. If you've nothing better to do and we are scraping the barrel here, please tune in to Barton FM at 5pm on Friday Barton FM (playoutonewebservices.com) I aim not to play tired and tested tunes generally, just as the mood takes me, early days yet. this show however kicks off with a popular chart track and then settles down into a lot of early stuff before gliding effortlessly into funkier sounds later on. (pre-recorded) Im new to this and trying to find my feet or niche, so please feel free to shy me with whatever rotten veg you may have at hand.

  22. Girl You're So Sweet So Fine for me only because the first time I heard it was during the day as the sun blazed through the windows at Brid, right from the very opening bars its a thing of perfection..the flip I can live without I think, its more poppy, but almost equally well wrought.
  23. thanks Mark I thought that at the same time, hardly worth bootlegging isnt it, Ive seen it auctioned at £40 on value your music ..Henry reckoned it looked different somehow.
  24. A little bit off the beaten track the Edwards generation 1972 someone like you/school is in on Ghetto records styrene raised bevelled middle, that I picked up yesterday only for a pittance. Took it to Henry Atkinson who has had a copy of it in the past and we sort of agreed it looks a little too shiny. If not, then a bargain. Deadwax reads SG-016A/B
  25. Soem may remember this young man his dreads swinging wildly in the centre of the big room at Brid-people thought he was an act-with him is Irene Young who gets about-he hasnt had any Air BnB visitors to Ghana this year so hes making bright and colourful facemasks I bought a few to help out-lets hope in 21 we can all get back together for more shenanigans.
