  3. Oh bugger just seen it that's what you get for indexing Christian names and not having glasses on...sorry for the time waste I am a tit!
  4. Ive got one of these I found it in a vinyl store in London a few years ago i cant seem to be able to find it on any listings least of all in the catalogues. Has anyone else come across it and is there any price tag attacjed to it. It is a chugalong ranb style thing and is o n the Andee label. The song is called Fanny Mae or Fanny Mac slight aobscuring of lettering? Its one that I tend to think hmm keep...dump,,,,but I always find myself putting it back in the box. so pray tell anyone k now anything about it.....the Andee label is turqouise with blueish lettering.
  5. In record dealers I have found a mister "I'm cutting me own arm off ....record shops opens up a whoe new hornets nest of oddities haha.
  6. Hi just got the one for sale or swap-JoJo Hamnett and the Hurricanes Next Time rare deep soul ballad thing with an oddball mid tempo garage tune on the back. (Aint that Heavy) b side is slightly offset-slight label fade (sunlight?) on Georgia. Im not up on evaluating VG Mint etc but it looks and sounds clear as a bell vinyl nice cond. Willing to swap etc or make an offer. Cheers Seanio
  7. Thansk Kev its all record fund mate cheers Seanio
  8. Hi oddly enough I picked up a Naylor lamp (made by J HNaylor Wigan) my guess its from the last century or the 19th certainly its a pit lamp which isnt working but has all the glass brass etc. and is a nice looking piece. I was told that Russ Winstanley used it to light up his turntab...ok thats a lie. Anyone interested in this type of thing just pm me make me an offer. I would have to sort out post. ta Seanio
  9. Number 6 ahem. Soul witch. The Yoko Ono of soul. Trouser grabbing beer swilling lady, machiavellian in outlook hasnt been on the scene for years disruptive, with her eye often burning fondly on the younger clientele. More often than not just there for thankfully the one night only. A ahem regular at Wigan of course. And trust me I've been a victim haha
  10. No the soul police are the investigative duo go mother and daughter and dogs. A random carrier bag near to record boxes gives the game away that records have been purchased locally. Dogs trained to sniff out bags of records stashed down side of cabinets while spouse is present. Daughter listens to rushed footsteps up to the spare room on payday and reports back. That is the soul police
  11. Thought so Pete. The example like I say is just an example; it puzzled me a bit and I guess there could be fraud going on in the music industry of the sixties if Im not mistaken, or a few bills pushed into peoples pockets
  12. Being as Im a relatively new collector (4 years with a lapse of 25) Im concerned about the listings of a certain popular catalogue. As want of example P P Arnold Everythings Gonna Be Alright. Immediate hash 6256 vinyl repro Jo Armistead I feel an urgfe coming on. 74a Counterfeit. My problem here is the counterfeit v repro. Are all counterfeits repros/repros counterfeit or does a repro mean that the record was grafted sneakily off the original tapes. In this particular guide at the front it says about counterfeits but does not say anyhting about repros. I only ask this beacaue the sound quality of the top mentioned record is excellent but like I said its only an example. Thanks
  13. He probably doesnt. But then again he didnt know about the Kenny Gamble Black black on blue either or his repro john and the Wierdest.
  14. Hi if you can put some ofthese by till Wednesday (payday) then I can get a payment off to you as iwant a few of these. Thanks Seanio
  15. It is superb on my ipod play list for a long time.
  16. I totally agree on the Independents its a beautiful track but I emptied the floor with it, be that not a very busy floor
  17. found this https://www.globaldogproductions.info/s/sidra.html
  18. I love that one on WIG by Gino. Great tune. great artist. Looks like SIdra were serious about their music. For a know nothing like me can you put up details of where the companies hailed from directors etc
  19. Hi does anyone ahve an opinion on these tqo records. Hey Hey Love Me is on Columbia and I thought its veyr very nice. I bought it for next to nothing couple of weeks ago. It is the b flip of a rock and roll side and it is very nice very soulful. Also I got an oddity by a Mr Stanley Lippitt called 20-20 vision It is listed as 70s or ballad in Mships but again the b side is a nice twangy funky bit of modern again for a low price on Uplook label I got in touch with Mr Lippitt on FB and he is blind I think, and he does a lot of work for charity. He wanted to know if I was planning to remix it. No but I think Ill take it out for a play next time. Both worth a listen I think.
  20. My mate maybe does know or not lol. It was me that exposed his John and the Wierdest as a brown vinyl copy (which he then sold to me in disgust!)
  21. Hi Lads thanks for the great info on this its always reassuring to know-no my mate said Manships is wrong but I think there are two red label editions. The scan in the middle looks true to mine.
  22. At Prestatyn there's always one guy who makes a mountain of talc stands in it and tbh his dancing energy is inversely proportionate to the amount he puts on the floor. I personally recommend my own mx of road salt and bitumen.
  23. Hi I've got Syl Johnson special agent 200 edition red smooth label black writing 20079 that Manships says is correct but a mate says isn't. Is there a deadwax stamp on these r any kind of matrix number? The centre is raised deadwax 10 mm thanks a lot
