  10. I don't remember " D- 9 " at Wigan either Grant , even though I was going regularly at the time .Don't think it took off , or I'm sure it would've got booted .I've got one now , and it's a real fave of mine , think it's Mike " God " Terry burping his Baritone sax to great effect .Best Wishes ,Eddie
  11. Inspirations is still mega rare on original Tabs , 2 or 3 known copies ? You right about Johnny Williams , was thinking myself that this could go again . Yvonne Daniels must still be very rare ? Love to hear this out again .......Great memories tho ' Best ,Eddie That was one of Russ's , pretty modern for the time period . Best ,Eddie
  12. Rotations Black and Ward Wayne Cochrane Danny Wagner [ However there is piece in a later issue of the mag that suggests Danny Wagner had been pressed in small quantitys though very hard to spot the difference between a real one or not ? ] Best ,Eddie
  13. I think you mean " I'm a changed man " not " D- 9 " ? Best ,Eddie
  14. Here's a list of 50 of the scenes most popular records taken from Dave McCadden's " Soul time " fanzine in Jan 1977 .Would be interested in folks views on the sides listed , some have remained classic plays , others have fallen by the wayside .An interesting list anyway , I think .Best Wishes ,Eddie
  15. You're right Jordi and Pete , Little Anthony is a great record , I've just heard it toooo much in recent times !! Best ,Eddie
  16. Yes you're right Rob , it's just that there's so many superb oldies that rarely get played these days , it amazes me that more people don't get bored by these constantly played records , I can't remember the last time I heard really well known oldies like The Poppies " Pain in my heart " or ultra soulful sides like Lou Edwards " Talkin ' bout poor folks " or Jo Armstead " I got the vibes " for instance , I know it's the DJ's job to entertain , but surely we should try and inspire them as well ? Best Wishes ,Eddie

  24. I really like " Change my destiny " as well Chris , If they're good enough then play them I say , I remember asking Ian if this was one of his productions and he denied it at the time .Wish he'd been more honest , though I guess he was trying to prove the point that he could make genuine records and get them played , a good record is a good record IMO , whoever produced it and whatever year is on the label .Best Wishes ,Eddie
