  1. The demo is pretty rare , the issue is quite easy £10- £12 , they are both originals , people may go wow !! if they see the demo in your box , but buy what you can afford IMO .Best,Eddie
  2. Hello Linda , a demo copy is the copy that was send to radio ,DJ's etc , to promote the record before release .They are usually the same recording , but often have the same song both sides , sometimes in mono and stereo .They are very often white coloured labels , but not always .Sometimes if you stick out for the issued copy , you get a good B side as well .Pressings are bootlegs under a different name , you need a guide to know which records are bootleg/ pressings as some are vey similar to the original , Popcorn Wylie " Rosemary " for instance on Karen white demo .Reissue is another term , these are often UK issues of big Northern sounds , issued due to demand , often in the 70's . Acetate is another useful term , these are like a first test pressing or an unissued side , but because they are cut rather than pressed in the usuel way , they often wear out quickly .Right hope that helps a bit ......Best,Eddie
  3. Wonderful record ......
  4. Hi Linda good luck in your quest , if you're going to DJ then you'll probably need original vinyl in most cases , not saying this is right or wrong , just a fact .Buy what you enjoy yourself , only what you can afford , try and get a good mix of cheaper but great sides , mixed in with the harder to find sides . It will take years and you'll never get everything , but thats part of the magic I think .Try and listen to some collectors tapes /CD's of lesser known things and buy those as they often go up in value .And if you DJ just be your own person with your own identity .Good luck !! Best,Eddie

  23. According to Rob Bowman's notes in the Stax box set , Reggie Milner came to Stax via a production deal that Ollie Mc. had with Stax. The vocals were cut in Detroit .He cut 4 sides for Stax including the also great " Habit Forming Love " .The backing for these tracks were recorded in Chicago with Mike Terry's guidance .I would guess that a lot of these Detroit based tracks came about because of Don Davis's influence at Stax .Hope this helps ,Best,Eddie
